Three Russians just invaded Toyland, set up camp, repaired the AC duct within 30 minutes and cleared out. I will be out of here by 2pm, and I am very happy about that,
Did they bring a samovar with them?

No swords in sight!

And I am home! I am waiting on the postman, because I may have to run to the bank before I get ready to step out tonight.

Back from a fun breakfast.  Returned to the e-mail I knew would be coming.  While it still had attitude, it was less than before.  I've forwarded it to someone for advice, then I'll make my decision on how to respond - one way or another the annoyance will be gone within a couple of days, so that's good.

A good flight in.

A nice boat ride over from Boston Logan to Long Wharf.

And then an unintentionally scenic ride from the Long Wharf to my hotel. Thankfully, the unintentional part was only about 3/4 of a mile, but still... I knew I was going.

And I took a nice bike ride around Boston Common while they were readying my room. My very small, but nice room. Emphasis on small. But again, it's nice.

Scary doings in Austin today with the evacuation of UT. Are you being affected at all, Druxy?

No, we are in South Austin.

I'm wondering if some student wanted more time to turn in a paper...or wanted to avoid taking a test.

No, I haven't been sitting here like so much fish all afternoon - just forgot to sign out when I left to do errands and visit my Mom.

I'm back now.

My printer problem saga carries on. After swapping the so-called compatible inks for Epson ones again, I found streaks still appearing on the prints. I spoke to Epson who said using the cheap inlks has obviously clogged the heads and the printer needs servicing. The cost of that wasn't worth it for a 4 year old model so I've bought a new printer - another Epson, because they are one of the few makes which include CD printing. So the cheap inks have ended up being very expensive. Anyway, I've installed the new printer which is brilliant.

I have heard that about refilled ink cartridges and so have never bought them.

I spent a lovely couple of days up at the Grand Canyon. No condor sightings, but a nice trip nonetheless.

TOD: I am ashamed to admit that while we were in the motel, we watched some reality show with Simon and Britney Spears judging singers. Other than that, we watched the Weather Channel, which has interesting stuff.

Back from picking up packages (the second pressing of the Nudie Musical Blu and Ray - yes, we just sold out of the first pressing), and an important envelope.  Did some banking and now I'm home.
