Wednesday night we started band.  My shoulder was pretty sore, but not as bad as a couple weeks earlier, so I'm glad about that.  It was so good to be back playing again.  I'm going to miss the Christmas concert this year, but I'm ok with that.   I'll be there for fall and both of our spring concerts.

The flight in was lovely -  we had firts class seats -- while the huddled masses in steerage paid for stale  whatever we had  quiche lorraine, broiled tomatoes, grilled asparagus, fresh baked muffins ( I actually passedon the muffins I waas too full from the other stuff) and fresh squeezed oj   -  bloody marys were an option  but I did not partake

Looks like the mini get together today was a lot of fun. And sounds like DR Jose is having a fabulous vacation

It really was a great day, and I am having a great vacation.

...Of course, right now, I'm sitting in my hotel room surfing the web, posting on and watching TV. ::)

me too!!

Fantastic room at the holiday in   walked in a found a wet bar, microwave,, fridge  free wifi, desk and queen bed -  i opened the door to what I assumed to be the bath and found  a bedroom with another queen bed and then a large bath off of that

I may never go home

I'm impressed and please the trip has been done in style for you.

And...

I just finished (re-)packing my luggage. Alas, I discovered that the one thing I bought in Boston - a t-shirt - may still be in Boston. :( Of course, now I'm trying to think if there's anything else I may have left behind. I just sent an email to the hotel, and I'll call in the morning. Maybe it got turned in by housekeeping.

And in a few hours, I shall be meeting DRs TCB and George for the first time! -And they may end up having doughnuts too.

We did!  I had one (so far) and it was quite delish!

I've been home since about 5:00 or 5:30.  And I actually took a nap for a couple of hours!  I forgot my sunglasses and although it wasn't glaring/blinding bright, I haven't driven without them in quite a while.  I think that's what made me somewhat tired.

I am creating an itinerary for my Saturday visit with DR JoseSPiano...we will be eating our way through Portland, that is for sure!

Got some nifty restaurants and dessert places lined up for us. Yummm.

TCB and I talked about that and wondered what their adventurous palates would experience that neither TCB nor I would even dare try. :-X

The AC men are here. I now have a new air conditioner with a remote  contol!

The circuit breaker was the problem. The old one might still be useable.

Great news, Larry.  Does that mean that you'll keep both air conditioners?

Rehearsal went well.  Got the news that James McCloskey, who, for many many years taught and/or ran the LACC Theater Academy has passed away.  He was ninety-five, so what an incredible and very long life he had.  I did many shows with him, and wrote the musical version of The Comedy of Errors with him, and he was responsible always for letting me come back and do my new musicals there.  I saw him about two months ago, and he has always been very supportive of whatever I've done.  He went into the hospital for some surgery and passed away there.

My condolences, BK, to you and his family and all of his students.

So...

George and and TCB drove up to my hotel, I hopped in the car, and away we went up to the Snoqualmie Casino! Once we got to the casino we had lunch - Thank You Very Much, DR TCB! - and also took a little bit of time to do some gambling. *I actually came out ahead by $10. Of course, if I had actually decided to play roulette as soon as I walked up to the table, I probably would have come out ahead quite a bit more since my numbers came up three times in a row, but... well... yadda-yadda-yadda...

After we left the casino, we took a drive over to Snoqualmie Falls so that I could see, well... the Snoqualmie Falls. It was quite beautiful, and the view path is set up nicely so you could get a couple of different, well.. views. When I first stepped out, I thought it was raining, but soon realized I was feeling the mist coming up from the falls down below.

And then it was back in the car and back to downtown Seattle.

All in all, it was a great way to spend a couple of hours in Seattle. DR TCB was a very gracious host and tour guide, and DR George was a great chauffeur. -And the food at the casino buffet was actually pretty good too. Oh, and I left some doughnuts for both of them to share during the drive home and/or for a late night snack and/or breakfast tomorrow morning.

P.S.- I did not get the memo about the matching shirts. ::)

That was our day and it was quite delightful.  The traffic was not much of a problem, at all.  The view of the falls was quite beautiful, even with the construction going on.  Here's a picture of the falls where you can see the rocky sides and a bit of the construction:

Good Afternoon!

Well...

This happened... :)

:) :) :)

DR's TCB & George did you intentionally coordinate your shirts ;)

Not at all...but what's really funny is that I actually have that same shirt and almost wore it!  I actually looked at that and the shirt that I finally chose and just decided to go with this other. :D

If we didn't have company arriving tonight I just might have been able to meet up with you.  Have fun!!!!

Jane, maybe you can meet up with Jose and MBarnum when they get together in Portland.

Nice pic of DRs Jose, TCB and George!

Yes, great pic.  Did you get any others?

Why, yes I did!  I didn't get a picture of the casino carpet (Jose, did you?), but I did take a picture of the light fixtures above the driveway.  I think that they're really nice:
