JRand, now that you've found your lost check, will you come to my house to help me find mine? I'd really appreciate it.

...And - truly - as Sally Durant would say, "I'm so glad I came."

The past three days in Portland have been amazing. And with the news of the births of Baby Grace and Baby Ariston, well... :)

Again, many Thanks to DR MBarnum was showing me such a swell time, and also to JMK and his wife, Betsy, for their hospitality.

DR FJL - I still remember playing auditions for a workshop of Last Dance years ago. It may have been one of my first gigs when I moved up to NYC. I knew Phil from SETC since he used to do a lot of directing for some regional dinner theatres and such before he moved on full-time to the circus. In any case... I remember having a blast playing and listening to all those disco songs from my youth(!). ;)

As for the Topic of the Day...

If one consider's George Gershwin a Classical composer, then I would have to say "George Gershwin".

Otherwise...

Claude Debussy or Frederic Chopin. The time periods and countries that each of them lived in still pique my interest. I don't think I would plan to discuss anything in particular or even eat anything in particular. I would just want to be there in their company.

DR Jose, I understood that the two babies just born are cousins of some kind. I was asking about Allyssa and Grace. Are they siblings?

I think I will go get a flu shot this morning. Flu seems to be hitting Arizona early this year.

Just got a phone call from my cardiologist's office--I passed the stress test I had on Friday morning.

Actually, I found nothing stressful about this stress test.  They used to make you really put the pedal to the metal on the treadmill to get your heart rate up, but now they administer a drug which artificially stimulates your heart and all you do is a slow mosey stroll.  It was sort of disappointing.  But in any event, I'm happy that my heart is doing fine.

Since I don't have insurance I will have to check and see of Walgreens or CVS offer shots at a reasonable price. If not, I will take my chances. I did not have a flu shot last year either.

Monday afternoon greetings from the Genealogy Center at Allen County Public Library in beautiful downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana!  My drive up here was smooth and I met up with my sister at 1pm.  We had a bite of lunch in the library cafe and I did a little grants research for the Middletown Area Senior Center.  Nancy is still working on family history stuff, so I'm getting caught up on this 'n' that.

TOD:

Although Miklos Rozsa is known for his movie scores; he did a lot of classical work as well.  He's the one I'd want to have dinner with...and maybe Mozart because he'd probably have plenty of dirty jokes to amuse one with.

DakotaCelt, I went to a Mollen clinic, which the innerwebs says you have as well. I signed in and did the paperwork online, and there was no wait once I got there. I paid $30.
