I love being ahead the whole day, which we were, wrapping Hal an hour ahead of schedule, which I know made him very happy.

As a teacher at a private school, students (mostly their parents) are rather generous with gifts either at Christmas time, end of the school year, etc.  Let's just say I've accumulated many gift cards that I'm not "good at" redeeming.  So, I went through my cards and uploaded the iTunes cards into my account and was able to purchase several new cast recordings.  Which is great, because I hate buying them 'cuz they usually aren't worth it, but now at least they are part of my cast recording collection.  In the process of doing this, I come to the OBC of Nice Work if You Can Get It.   Has anyone heard this?  I'm not a huge Gershwin fan to begin with, but is there anything exciting about it?

I haven't heard the cd, but the numbers I saw performed on tv were very good.

Reading about BK's fasting in the notes. I think I lasted last night till 5pm or 5:30pm. And it wasn't bad for me at all. I often don't eat till noon. So missing one meal wasn't really too much for me.

BK, don't you often fast much of the day? Or do you have snacks before your meal of the day at night?

You make it sound easy.

Well it was definitely easier for me than for my sister. She is used to eating breakfast by 7:30am. She was feeling quite ill by noon.

I was hungryish. But I've got enough fat on me to last for 1 day. :)

If she was feeling ill than she should have had something.  It is permitted if you aren't well, at least that is what my father always said when he made me eat something.

She did eat something in the afternoon.

DR Jennifer - Make sure you wash your niece's pillow cases and blanket a bit more often, especially if she's dealing with a prolonged allergy attack. The allergens could be transferring from her hair, skin and clothes and just getting embedded in her bed linens.

I like to air out a bed before making it.  I've been told that dust mites like the warm bedding.

I think she has the dust mite cover on her bed.

It's been an incredibly crazy week.  I can't even begin to explain how crazy it's been.  Not bad, but whew!

I was going to spend the weekend doing nothing, but a friend from New York will be at the lake, so I guess I'll head up there for a few hours on Sunday

Good Evening!

Greetings from somewhere in the air between San Francisco and Chicago!

The WiFi on this flight teeters between dial-up modem slow and non-existent with rare bouts of standard connectivity rates. So... If this post goes through, then good.  If not...

I got to play tonight. I played with a toddler whose mommy is on bed rest until the new baby comes (hopefully a few more weeks). Now I remember why babies are for young people.

I don't know what a peanut butter haystack is, but I require a bunch of them RIGHT NOW.

And some heath toffee cookies.  STAT.

When I was a kid, I always thought it was a Health Bar.  I could never figure out why anyone would want a healthy candy bar.

BK:  What's a typical turnaround time on Outside the Box?  About when might the ones you're working on now be completed and made public?

Didn't you watch it this afternoon?   :)

*We were supposed to have dinner at The Bristol, but since we would have ended up walking in just as the kitchen was closing, well... We'll be dining there on Saturday night instead before we see Sunday In The Park With George at Chicago Shakes.
