Otherwise, I plan to hop on my bike later and get on the Lakeshore Trail. :)

And, again, I seemed to have lucked out with the weather!

It's pouring rain in Manhattan.

Anthony will be doing laundry later when the rain subsides.

I'm ready to step outside with mine as soon as the downpour slows to a drizzle.

And then tomorrow night, we will be seeing Sunday in the Park with George at Chicago Shakespeare Theater. My friend, Brad, is the musical director, and Linda Stephens in playing the Old Lady/Blair Daniels. I'm looking forward to seeing both of them again. Oh, and Jason Danieley is playing Georges/George, and Carmen Cusack in Dot/Marie. -And I'm pretty sure I'll be a blubbering mess during both act finales. ::)

I interviewed Josh Logan way back when, shortly after "Sunday in the Park with George" opened. He talked about how cold he found the show and then asked if I had seen it. I had, during a fairly early preview, before "Children and Art" was added, and told him how I had blubbered during the closing of both acts. We immediately went on to another topic.

The laundry is in the washers. I have to make my bed and read this long email from last night.

I have a very close personal relationship with the original production of "Sunday in the Park with George," and I was not very fond of the last revival and its lousy orchestration and second-rate cast.

DR Jose I have never tried molecular gastronomy. I only watch it on tv! :)

DR Jennifer - Some methods are not as far out as others, but there are some truly "scientific deconstructions" out there. And I'm pretty sure I'll be experiencing and tasting some of those tonight. :)

I love watching them doing it on Top Chef. It looks pretty cool.

And that's one activity even though I may marvel at those who can actually do it, I have absolutely no interest in attempting. It's just one those activities where it seems you either do it very well, or you get majorly injured.

Good Filichia on Friday today, though I found one sentence odd: "Movie of the Month: Just 45 Minutes from Broadway, Henry Jaglom’s latest winner."

That somehow implies that Jaglom has had a winner before. Not in my book.

Friday morning greetings!  Had a fun pre-Middfest discussion of Ina Caro's Paris to the Past last night with a small crowd.  Next week I'm co-leading a discussion of 2 books by Tilar Mazzeo - one about Chanel No. 5 and the other about Veuve Clicquot champagne.  Looking forward to Middfest being over so I can get back to my England reading.

DR Ginny - Will the discussion include samples of the parfum and Champagne? ;)

I loves myself some La Grande Dame, preferably from the late 1980s. Will you be pouring any during the discussion?

I'm up and getting ready to leave in about forty-five minutes.  I actually got up before the alarm.
