A far more pleasant encounter at the party.

So it was really the owl's food you were eating.

And here were two brave hearts attempting the log rolling. I did not.

And that's one activity even though I may marvel at those who can actually do it, I have absolutely no interest in attempting. It's just one those activities where it seems you either do it very well, or you get majorly injured.

My thoughts as well.

TOD:

DVD:
Digging into some Bollywood jungle man movies. Tarzan-like.

DVR:
Some 1940/50s crime films recorded off of TCM this week.

Last night was: MY TRUE STORY (1951) with Helen Walker and Willard Parker trying to convince the audience that they are a young couple playing a young couple caught up in a jewell heist scheme. Aldo Ray, who actually was young in this film, was also in the cast in a supporting role.

It was a pretty darn entertaining film, however.

They all have such great expressions-lol

Today is Friday...and as is the norm, I just can't help being happy enough to stop off at some local "wonderful bakery" for a box of goodies for my co-workers.

Today's treat:

Morning buns from La Farine!

These look delicious.

A large strip of our lawn was dug up when the landscaping was removed.  They are now spraying the dirt with hydroseed.  It looks cool, and it is green again.

Although I might be fostering  this dog and maybe adopting him if we get along. So my weekend might be busy.

Oh, Mike, that would be wonderful!

What is definite this weekend is that my friend, Yosh, will be flying in from NYC later today, and tonight we will be dining at Alinea. It's going to be a quite the evening of molecular gastronomy. I haven't researched what the current offerings are, I want it all to be a surprise.

I am sure that the food will be more exciting than the menu!

It is a wonderful show! Although I admit that I don't watch it any longer only because I had to cut my weekly TV viewing down a bit, and I wasn't about to give up MR. ED.
