Good Evening!

Well... There's nothing like biking 20 miles along the Lakeshore Trail.. Against a headwind/crosswind for most of the time... Absolutely nothing...

It was glorious!!!!!

And the views of Chicago's skyline and Navy Pier from the actual lake shore are absolutely stunning. I almost stopped and turned around at one point, but when I made I way around curve and saw the Hancock Building and The Drake in the distance I just had to keep going. -The same thing happened again as soon as I saw the Museum Campus and the Adler Planetarium.

It is a wonderful show! Although I admit that I don't watch it any longer only because I had to cut my weekly TV viewing down a bit, and I wasn't about to give up MR. ED.

I was about to say that there was something very ironic about this post, but, in fact, there isn't. None at all.

And now...

I need to do a bit more stretching and then get set for tonight's culinary adventure.

Laters...

Actually, DR George, the comments on the Herber Collected songs is rather uncomplimentary and I have no idea how our EILEEN will do. Only DR JohnG gave us a nice review. Most of the negative reviews are reviewing an album we didn't record; there's no sense from the reviewers of Herbert's changing song forms, the beauty of some of the music. In 102 songs, there are some turkeys but there are some glorious melodes, some funny  songs, a few moving numbers,  and performances ranging from poor to brilliant. I am proud that we produced a fun and historic document.

I am aware that two of our singers showed up in pathetic form and I luckily got a chance to only record half of their material and reassign things to others, that I had to replace a singer who dragged me along for too long before I dropped him for another person, and that some folk showed up, delivered the goods and hit the songs out of the ball park. Still, I'm proud of the achievement.

You should write a book!

;)

Wait for the memoirs!

I can't wait for the chapter about me!

Home after a day at work.  Making BBQ chicken ranch pizza for dinner.  Not quite sure how, but we'll figure it out as we go along.

Today our recent house guest, 3 year old Eli, asked her mother to make a peanut butter & jelly sandwich just like Keith made.  Except I made it ;D

Not that Eli was all that wrong since Keith told me to make it & then sat with her while she ate it.  The entire time he kept asking/telling her that was the best PB & J sandwich ever.

All weekend I enjoyed watching him with her.

Well, I must be off now.  Our supervisor's union is having a meeting at 6:30 and as the treasurer, I have to be there.

So, until later!

DR Laura, having cooked crickets once (and only once), I can tell you that the wings are a little too sharp on the tongue, so you remove them in order to make them snackier.

TMI, right?

The wings or the legs? I never see them fly -- I see them jump.

Just heard from a friend who's working on the new Terrence Malick movie that's begun filming in Austin. It's got Ryan Gosling, Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett and a few other people in it. Sounds like she's having fun with it.

An old friend from Florida posted this. It must be 15 years old. My old kitchen. What a doofy smile. And was is that weird hip coming out of my backside:
