do you have a favorite type of pattern?

I like the classic patterns that were more subtle than the current ones. Today at Middfest my friend Judy was carrying a tote in Red Leaf, a vintage pattern that resembles the French fabrics on display in the City Building.

I was showing off at therapy this week, both on Monday and Wednesday, making a complete walk around the office with my walker.

I am very excited to read this.  :)

CONGRATULATIONS ON THE COMPLETE WALK AROUND THE OFFICE!!!

Went out for a late birthday dinner with some friends to Texas Roadhouse, which is a chain out of Louisville, Ky. Still, they send me a coupon every year at my birthday, so I go for a couple of beers, a  pork chop (better than the steaks) and a free appetizer. It was fun.

Just had a call from Fr. Richard, who has arrived safely in Lima and sounds very tired.

Now he can rest up and sleep in tomorrow.
May he have safe travels home to you on Sunday.

DR Elmore, I'm so glad you were able to go to the Miami event and that you had such a good time.  Hope you make it to the concert tomorrow.

Starting to watch Oliver Stone's "World Trade Center." Don't know if I can take this one in one sitting.

Thanks DR Jane!  He said he's looking forward to only one 2-hour drive tomorrow instead of our usual 2.

It's his usual stuff even before the movie has really gotten underway. If he's using the slo-mo action film shots this early, then that means the human element will probably be lacking.

Other than KFC I don't even know of any places that serve fried chicken. And sadly i don't think i've ever had homemade fried chicken.

It's a greasy mess, but worth it!

Today was the annual take the family to the vet day.  I loaded all three cats in the car. They each have thier own carrier, which I belt into the car.  Oh my, it was solid talking, complaining and a little howling all the way to the vet.   On the way home it was better, but still lots of talking.  They are really pretty funny.  Tomorrow we should all be back to normal

Today I went to the local farm and scored some pearl onions, okra, raw honey, and two monarch chrysalises that had fallen. They have milkweed growing because they love the butterflies. I brought them home so they will not get stepped on.

The things you find out reading catalogs.  I had no idea that Thomas Kincaide had died.  I guess his death happened around the time I had my surgery, so I never read the paper.  How very sad.  54.

It was a horrible death. Very tragic for someone who didn't live the life that he sought to depict.
