Thank you DR FJL.  The picture was taken during Thoroughly Modern Millie soon after this video was taken.....I wanted a picture, but had the camera set on movie....

Somehow this has gotten 51 views on You Tube.....

You can check your stats on that.

Just PM'd you with what I saw in the stats, and some other stuff.

TOD

Backlogged on everything at present.

CD car player has been acting up, rejecting discs, and haven't had time to listen to anything at home the past couple of days, but next up would be THE RAT RACE and EILEEN which is due today.

DVD - I have a wonderful collection but new Blu-rays have taken precedence this week.  THE LONG HOT SUMMER should be delivered today.

BLU - E.T., some Universal monsters, a little 007, a peek at PROMETHEUS.  Tonight, God willing and the nice mail lady brings 'em:  DIAL M FOR MURDER and THE FACULTY.

Also,

BLU - THIS IS CINERAMA and WINDJAMMER - the ones DR Doug R has been waiting for.  Just a few scenes, no time to watch straight through yet.  Strange movies now, as were all such extravaganzas from back in the day, but lots of fun and great nostalgia value.  Flicker Alley did a wonderful job on these, given that they are not the kind of restorations we usually talk about.

Life only gets worse some mornings: my debit card has been hacked and someone's charged an iPhone case costing $86.29 yesterday with the email address heidi_hejazi@yahoo.com. I am not amused.

I wll have a new card in 5-7 business days. Oy!

TOD:

Recorded a whole lotta old movies off of TCM this week, and hope to get most of them watched. Included are the 1931 and 1941 versions of DR JEKYLL AND MR HYDE. Neither of which I have ever watched before. Well, actually, I watched the 1931 version earlier this week.

Regarding the play version of DIAL M FOR MURDER.  I think the main problem is finding a different actor every night willing to be stabbed in the back with a pair of scissors.

I've never seen it on stage either, which is kind of ridiculous because it's been done at least three times locally since I've lived in this area, which is pretty rich in community theater.

Well, the mess of my life continues: the new stove sits in my hallway: the gas pipes connecting the oldstove have to be disconnected by a specialist who can then connect a new pipe that will work with the new stove. God alone knows when this will occur.  My apartment is a shambles, my bank account is empty and I've been sending emals to the people receiving my checks begging them not to deposit them - if they haven't already - until next week. On top of that, I'm worriedthat the stove delivery men, before they discovered the gasline problem might have loosened the pipes and I will die from a gas leak.

It will be a couple of weeks from now, when I'm back from L.A., before I'll be able to get into EILEEN.  I'll sit down with it and do it right.

ChasSmith, there is no legit recording for Jubilee, though Porter recorded most of the songs, which appears as a CD called "Cole Sings Porter." As I recall, he did not record "Begin the Beguine," and that's probably a good thing.

Elmore, many vibes that everything gets straightened  out.

I underwent both trials today. Now comes the waiting.

DR Elmore, checks  being cashed shouldn't oughta be a problem, I would think. Isn't your bank covering the loss in your account?

The charges have depleted my account. The bank will not redeposit the funds until I file claims of fraudulent activity. Until the money is redeposited, I will be overdrawn and charged $35/check.

I really do not think any bank should charge $35/cheque. Oncr they get the confirmation of the fraud they should refund it. That is not right.

Got the car back from repair. I was sitting in the garage reception for 90 minutes while they finished the work, which was delayed because they had to order parts. At least they had a big screen TV there to keep me entertained.

The afternoon is going slowly. Race all week and now a lull. Seems odd.

I have just taken a brief glance at THE FACULTY, and while I know it isn't going to be unadulterated BK, I immediately liked the basic look and sound of it, and I look forward to watching it tonight following cocktails at the cemetery.  (Yes, cocktails at the cemetery.)

Good Filichia on Friday. I wish I had kept a lot of my old programs from Actors Theater of Louisville. I know I have some of them but not all.
