DR Elmore, Richard says, "Welcome to the club," because he spent the time I was gone today dealing with a fraudulent credit card charge.

Cold comfort, dear, cold comfort!

Sorry, it's the best I can do...

How much was Richard bilked for?

Not as much as you...

I just went online and checked all my credit cards.

Ironically, as I was reading these posts, I received a delivery of my new wallet.  Not only does it fit in my front pocket (for pickpocket protection), but it has a lining of RFD that shields my credit cards and my driver's license from being scanned.  This will, of course, lull me into a false sense of security until I end up being hacked, as well.

I hope it works!!!!

DR TCB last night DR Cilla mentioned the special diet for DC Nicky.  If memory serves me correctly he already was on the diet.  Did the vet make any new changes?

Friday afternoon greetings!  I had to be outta here about 10:30 this morning to get my Mother to a doctor's appointment.  She's having a lot of difficulty coping with her advanced age and today's excursion was quite depressing.

I'm so very sorry life is getting more difficult for your mother and in turn for you.  Hugs.

Thanks, DR Jane!

I have been waking up because I'm cold so I just ordered flannel sheets from LL Bean.  I hope I don't have to wait until Monday for them to be shipped.

DR Elmore, checks  being cashed shouldn't oughta be a problem, I would think. Isn't your bank covering the loss in your account?

The charges have depleted my account. The bank will not redeposit the funds until I file claims of fraudulent activity. Until the money is redeposited, I will be overdrawn and charged $35/check.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

~~~BANK AND MONEY VIBES FOR DR ELMORE!!~~~
TOD
Blu - Prometheus
I will hopefully watch Prometheus, too.  I also have the new Blu-ray of "Little Shop of Horrors," and I REALLY want to watch that. :)
I'm reading "Fahrenheit 451," ironically on my Kindle.  I've never read it, nor have I seen the movie.  It's very good.
In my CD player:  I just finished a CD that I got from the library:  "Leaving Eden" by the Carolina Chocolate Drops.  Now, I'm listening to Rat Race.
I suggest watching the movie after reading the book.  Oscar Verner is just wonderful as the hero.  A few changes have been made which make the story a bit different while interesting.
You need a better bank, Elmore! My bank would immediately make things right, as I recall when that happened to me.
I was thinking about doing that...I've just added it to my Netflix streaming queue.
The difference in "customer care" could be that Elmore used a debit card and banks have different rules when dealing with debit cards vs. credit cards.  Credit cards have much better protection than most debit cards...sadly.
I had some matzo ball soup and a bagel for lunch - it's been chilly here so it felt good.  More visitors, including the director of The Ghastly Love of Johnny X and one of its actors, and all that kind of thing.
That's because you count as a pubescent little girl, and your bank is a piggy.
And I am back from my meeting at 155th Street. It was nice to see Judy. The bad news is that she tells me I can't hear a DEAREST ENEMY edit before March! Damn.
I really do not think any bank should charge $35/cheque. Oncr they get the confirmation of the fraud they should refund it. That is not right.
They'll take your money any way that they can.
It is difficult to imagine how much more to the story could require charges vs asking him to replace the blanket.
DR TCB last night DR Cilla mentioned the special diet for DC Nicky.  If memory serves me correctly he already was on the diet.  Did the vet make any new changes?
Usually a cat will need to be put on a dry food that helps prevent urinary tract infections.  But Nicky doesn't eat dry food, he only eats canned food.  So, the vet said he should be fine to stay on that.
The commercial I just saw about Wells Fargo Bank indicates that they follow the same rules on debit cards that they do for credit cards.  Perhaps on Monday, we all need to check with our banks and find out how they treat debit cards.
Then you don't have the temp in your bedroom turned low enough ;)
I used to like using them all year and Keith is now the one asking for them and his side of the bed is always much warmer than mine.  I figure if I use the flannel sheets I won't need an extra blanket.  They do tend to be fur magnets which is what I don't like about them.
I don't slide comfortably when rolling over in them, something I never thought about until my broken shoulder.
