I have to credit BK's many mentions of it with getting me on a Mac & Cheese kick lately. It was disappointing that last time at Joe Allen when they didn't have it, because the previous time it had looked so good.

It wasn't the winner. I don't have a good picture of that one. It had shishisto peppers, which are only mildly hot, but they had been smoked and matched with a smoky gouda. Quite nice.

One tasted like a casserole, where meat dominated the flavor. Another tasted dry, but with bacon. Another tasted watery, but with bacon. Then there was one with duck confit and spinach. It was good but it wasn't mac and cheese.

DR ChasSmith, I also disliked the movie for the same reason. Then I read I AM A CAMERA and discovered that the movie is truer to the written story than the stage version.

Thanks. That's just one plant. There is another orange rose as well as one that is white, both of those are also in bloom.

While I have not seen the stage version or read the book I have been under the impression the movie was truer to the story. Thanks for confirming it.

While I have not seen the stage version or read the book I have been under the impression the movie was truer to the story. Thanks for confirming it.

Thanks to DR Jennifer I am currently reading the first Sherlock Holmes story, "A Study in Scarlet". I thought I had read all of the books. I think I need to return to these.

DR Cillaliz, re: the new cat sitter. Maybe talking to people she's worked for will give you some peace of mind. I'm sure she'll be okay. If others say she's done a good job then I'm sure she will be fine.

Last week the pool only had three swimmers. This week the double lanes each had three people when I became a fourth. I was standing in the shallow end talking to someone when I saw the person in the single lane begin to exit. Boy did I scoot quickly through the middle lane to the single lane. It is so much easier to swim when I don't have to worry about someone crashing into me.

Just before I did my last lap I mentioned to the guy in the lane next to me I would be getting out. He slipped into my lane and waited for me. He has an injured shoulder which was doing better until someone ran into him. He was very happy to take my single lane.

Is only 1 swimmer allowed in the single lane? Why would someone crash into you in the double lane? Do you mean pass you from behind? I'm assuming you mean hit you in the opposite direction? That could never happen at our pool because you always go up and down on the right side.

Speaking of pools being full on Saturdays. Our pool was packed. But I don't even know what time they allow people to swim. The mornings are full of lessons. They have bleachers. Today I saw for 2 hours while my niece had her sychro lesson. It wasn't too bad. I had my kindle and a book. And I was pretty much able to read. Even though it was loud it wasn't talking. Just music and an overall loud buzz. But boy was the place packed.

Yes, only one swimmer in the single lane

It is almost half the size of the double lane.

Some swimmers can't seem to swim in a straight line and completely cross over the the swimmer on the "right side" opposite them. I can't tell you how many times I have hugged the rope to avoid getting hit. Then there are the fast swimmers, or at least fast at turning around when they get to the wall. They don't seem to look if someone else in front of them is making the turn to go back. They cross in front of me even though I'm on the right side & they are still on on left.

Well according to my nook facebook page you liked this along while back. The title of the book is something else, maybe Conan Doyle, can't remember at the moment, and has an introduction about Doyle & the doctor who was the inspiration for Holmes. I ordered it free off of you.

I loved the movie, CABARET; but I was sorry that they used that title, since it had so little to do with the Broadway musical.

Busy day. The garden tour was today. The folks were fascinated by the caterpillars and spent quite a long time looking for and photographing them. After the tour was over about 1 p.m., a friend and I had lunch at a local Mexican place. Afterwards, I fell asleep and napped the rest of the day. I didn't know I was so tired.
