I went to the local farmer's market, then to Du-Par's, where I got right in (more about that in the notes) and had a short stack and a side of bacon.  I ate about one and a half of the three pancakes.  Their magic is gone I'm afraid.

Had a long nap. Am now making a soup of leafy greens, including sorrel and parsley from the backyard, spinach and lettuce.

I used to go to the Du-Par's in Farmer's Market.  And before that, on the Miracle Mile (?!).  (Yes, I believe so.)  I was probably in the Studio City one a couple of times.

Not sure I ever had the pancakes, but lots of bacon & eggs meals.  And good doughnuts.

It sounds interesting.

I'm reading UNBROKEN.  I'm deciding between reading my book or the voter's pamphlet.  I know which I prefer to read & which I should read.

I scratched the inside of my hand yesterday near my thumb. It doesn't look like a bad scratch. but it hurts. It's right where my thumb gets sore from using my kindle/using the computer mouse. :(

Oddly, I nearly stopped at a Denny's today for my twice-annual-or-so breakfast there, the one with eggs, bacon (not the bacon and sausage combo, just all bacon, thanks), hash browns, toast, orange juice, coffee...AND pancakes, drowned in butter and syrup.  But as I got close to the place, it didn't seem like quite the right time, so I didn't.  Now I wish I had ignored my noble inner voices and just gone in and eaten the damned thing.

I am not really a fan of pancakes.  Or waffles.  If I am going to eat something sweet for breakfast; just give me a chocolate bar.

Hi

It's hot here again today, just too long of a summer for me.   Next week will be in the high 90's again at work.

Friday night football was boring in Ojai.   Maybe it was the first day of cold weather for the teams.  Off to watch football in a few minutes at the boyfriend's house.   The things I do for a boyfriend just make me shake my head sometimes.  Although I do get to do my laundry there.  That is a plus.   ;)

It is a Nook app called Nook Friends.  It said you liked "Best Books" by Conan Doyle 1 year ago.

This weekend we are having our first real rain in over 80 days.  The wind is also picking up, but still nothing like our Columbus Day Storm of 50 years ago.

Put a band-aid on it for padding.

Extra special vibes for everyone for the rest of the day.   See ya in the morning.

Must shower, watch football, do laundry, and sleep by 9pm.
