She is a cat person.  She also said she'd love to come over and help me pick up and organize etc.   I have a feeling this is going to work out well

DR jane did you notice what i wrote happened re: my book recommendation? :)

It is a Nook app called Nook Friends.  It said you liked "Best Books" by Conan Doyle 1 year ago.
Wow a year ago that is very odd since I've only had an ereader for 10 months. But why am i listed as a nook friend when i do not have a nook.   :)

You can imagine my surprise when a ton of friend's showed up on my Nook.  It is coming through facebook.  I don't have a clue where you can "like" a book on FB.  If I click on a book from my Nook friend it opens with a price.  I've gotten some good deals this way & read wonderful books I might have missed.

I scratched the inside of my hand yesterday near my thumb. It doesn't look like a bad scratch. but it hurts. It's right where my thumb gets sore from using my kindle/using the computer mouse. :(

Put a band-aid on it for padding.
It actually sort of aches. And the muscle hurts.

That's not good.  Ice it and use an antibiotic ointment.

As soon as I got done and sat down, the phone rang.  It was the new cat/house sitter.  She wanted to come over.   She called early.  She a nice visit.  Callie wasn't pleased, but she never is at medicine time. Katie also cleans and does other stuff to help people. She said she knows a good painter who is reasonable who may be able to do my hallway etc.   I do know her but have never had her work for me before. I know now it will be ok.

I know you figured you would be ok with her but I'm sure it is a relief to know for sure. :)

Maybe with the new site we can have larger avatar's again and posting photos will be easier.

She also helps cater and serve parties.  That's really how I met her when she was helping out a friend.   We had the garage sale at her house last summer.

Thanks John. I've been very worried about it and didn't know what I was going to do if she couldn't do it.  I haven't talked to her about the trip to NYC in Dec, yet, I'm waiting to see how it goes this weekend, but I'm sure it will be fine

Started watching "3 Women," which I haven't seen since high school. So much of it is surprisingly fresh, as if I saw it last month instead of 35 years ago. Especially the sense of alienation and how people do and don't find ways of connecting.

Has anyone read Killing Lincoln or Killing Kennedy?   I thought they were both very good.  No matter what you think of Bill O'Reilly, these books are really good if you are interested in history.

Since I refuse to pay for the online version of our local paper I only read the headlines ;D

Jane, do you get a few articles free before you have to pay to read it?

The photo of the Tiki cat was taken when I bought it at an outdoor art walk.  During the warmer months it sits by my garage door.  It could stay out all winter, but I put it in the garage where I think it's safer

I heard the same thing this week. Maybe the library has it on audio.
