The Pastry Queen (if you know her cookbooks), Rebecca Rather, is opening a new restaurant in the Hill Country called the Pink Pig. I think I may have to steal -- excuse me, appropriate -- some of her serving dishes, like this one.

I just got a call from my ex-boyfriend!  We've kept in touch since we broke up.  He's in Hawaii on vacation and wanted to chat and find out the latest.  I got to tell him that Obama was reelected and that gays will be able to get married. :D

No...if we were still together, I'm sure that we'd be married.  He lives in Seattle and doesn't have a car, and his job takes him out of town for a week, every other week.  I actually broke up with him because of the situation, not because we weren't getting along.
