Deb, glad to see you here at this time of day. I guess it means you're not at the office. Sorry that you're sick but glad you're here!!!

I hope we don't lose power again withe the nor'easter

I can't imagine what the poor people on the south shore of the island are doing so many lost their homes and so many are still without power

I shiver at the thought of those still without power & homes dealing with the snow & cold.

I saw a dead fox on the road today. Unfortunately I see them regularly near me - after having been run over.

MR BK I have THE GIRL.....I can try to make you a copy....although my program is sometimes wonky and it might not play for you....but I would be glad to try.

I will tell you that I found the whole thing ridiculous......and the location filming in South Africa made the studio setting and the filming locations completely unbelievable....it was VERY distracting.....even misleading....

The less said about the performances - the better.

As I suspected.

Yes DR VIXMOM.....it will certainly make them feel something!

I think you should haul a random stranger out of the audience and accuse them of witchcraft -  anyone texting during the performance should be a prime candidate!

Walked to the car this morning (earlier than usual, because I had a lot of work to do). And I discovered someone had smashed in the rear window on the driver's side. What a way to start the day. It took an extra hour to get it replaced. Ugh. Ugh all around. Am running around like crazy now. But I needed a two-minute break just to get revved up again.

Sorry.  I'm glad you were able to get it replaced right away.

Five minutes ago:

Lovely.  We might have snow soon & I am not looking forward to it, especially if it is before I host my book group.  I would hate to have to cancel.

Has Facebook now become screwier than EVER?  On the news feed page, which is supposed to be, I don't know, CURRENT, I'm seeing crap from Halloween.

Mine seems normal.  Are you still having problems?

OH NO! John G I am so sorry to hear this

How did I miss this post earlier?  Sorry, DR John G!
Thank you both. Just money I would have spent on unnecessary things like phone bills and electric bills.

I am actually feeling  better -  all that sleep helped I guess

I had a planned appointment with my radiation oncologist this afternoon (11/11 will be the 4 year anniversary of my diagnosis) so I am going to head on over there in a little bit -- hoping to get an all clear for another year

MEGA VIBES FOR "ALL CLEAR" TEST RESULTS!!!

From DR George:
Quote
No...if we were still together, I'm sure that we'd be married.  He lives in Seattle and doesn't have a car, and his job takes him out of town for a week, every other week.  I actually broke up with him because of the situation, not because we weren't getting along.

I know being with someone who travels all the time isn't easy, but wow.  You don't seem to regret it though.

No...and he totally understood, too.  We have kept in touch and I've vistited him a couple times.  He travels and always sends me postcards from his travels. :D

Postcards are fun to receive.

Picked up some packages, did some banking, and began working on liner notes two but haven't gotten very far.  It's insane trying to keep up with all these projects and their needs.

The apple fritter isn't frittery enough.  Not by a long shot.  They make a great donut and glaze, etc., there, but this doesn't touch the good California fritters.  Nevertheless, the few things I picked out for myself are incredibly delicious and satisfying.

You know what you hardly ever see here?  Bear claws.  Maybe that's more a California thing.

Rightly or wrongly, I seem to associate good bear claws with former supermarkets Hughes and Boys Markets.

Maybe it is a West Coast thing, because we have them in Washington, also.  Oh, and also the pastry version.

Do tater tot casseroles always have ground beef in them?  I like ground beef. But the idea of the casserole sounds more appealing to me without the beef.

The beauty of makjing your own casserole is you can put anything you want in it :)

I'd just never heard of a tater tot casserole till a few days ago. So not sure if the ground beef is a common ingredient.

Yes, it is a common ingredient.  In fact i don't think i've had it without ground beef, but it could be done with chicken or something else
