Actually LES MIZ was released on April 3, 1935 - and then again on August 14, 1952.

But these American movies might not be the one we're talking about.

Now that there are no more Twinkies to be had, I guess I can't make this dish, which just sounds revolting to me:

Yaya's Twinkie Baklava.

I never much cared for Twinkies when I was young.  Preferred Hostess cupcakes (preferably served on a platter a la the Ann Blyth commercials).

Now, I'm not supposed to eat Twinkies. Cholesteroal, dontchaknow.

Why is it that I'm now craving a package of Twinkies?

With a little effort, we could get to page 4 before Noon, Pacific time.

Who else is excited about Warner Archives issuing Blu ray titles?

The most exciting aspect of this is that they are going to be pressed discs vice "burned" (BD vs. BD-R).

And then, there's the issue of "Gypsy" which, if it's anything like the HD version aired on TCM a few months back, will be spectacular.

Is anybody watching "Project Runway All-Stars"?

SPOILAGE

Last night's show was, for me, just a filler episode designed to eliminate those who should never have been on the show to begin with.  Happily, a few of those have departed, but last night's departure of Andrae was three weeks overdue.  He should have gone home instead of Wendy Pepper.  Never understood how he could have been picked for the all stars anyway.  He wasn't one of the bright lights of his season (nor was Ivy Higa a bright light of hers).

I think I liked some of the "safe" designers' outfits better than a couple of those selected as runners-up.  Anthony Michael Auld, however, is my favorite this season as he was during his original season.  He's a smart designer.

Oh, well.

And then some.

End Spoilage

I'm not actually watching Survivor: Philippines, but I'm very surprised that Lisa Whelchel is still in the game.  I watched the first few episodes and saw a couple of meltdowns and felt sure (as did she) that her number was going to be up early.  Last night, there was another scene or two and I thought she'd be a goner.  Not even nominated.

It is very interesting. In the first couple of episodes she did not get along with her tribe. I also thought that her days were numbered. She has done a very good job of managing to stay in the game. Along with Jonathan Penner she is my favorite.

There was really no way that she was going to be nominated last week or this week. Her old tribe needed her. And the other side wanted her.  Plus they were trying to get out the returning players.  Only two people seem to know who she is (the 2 returning players).   I am really enjoying her.

I wish i was watching PR all-stars. It probably won't air here for another month or two. We now have Lifetime Canada. You'd think that would mean we could get the shows at the same time :(

I never cared for Twinkies, but a Sno-Ball, now that was something special because it had coconut on it. It didn't matter that the arm rest of my chair probably tasted better than the rest of the Sno-Ball, the coconut made it.

Since I am on a gluten-free diet, I won't miss the Hostess products.

I just feel sorry for the 18,500.

I survived my presentation in Sun City today. The thing I like about Sun City is that I am always the youngest person in the room.

Glad you are home DR GINNY.

Yes Hostess/Wonder Bread is no more.  The flavor of Twinkies changed several years ago when they had to get "healthy" - so it has been quite some time since I had one.

A frustrating day because I've had to stay in all day waiting for my Amazon orders (as above). Amazon sent them by courier for guaranteed next day delivery but the courier didn't arrive until 8.00 in the evening.
