and I took my  lunch break at 9:45 this morning - arrived at the Costoc down the block as it opened its doors at 10 Am - nipped in, grabbed  one each pumpkin pie, apple pie and pecan pie,  on he way to the cash register grabbed a pair of waterproof boots for Vixdad and a pair of $50 gift cards to a local restaurant for my brother and his wife, bought 100 Christmas stamps at the register and was back at my desk by 10:15

I ended up getting a fresh turkey --  it is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too big but I am going to make it on Friday anyway

tomorrow Vixdad, and my parents and I are going to my brothers house for Thanksgiving   --- the Vixter is working -  so I am going to make our own dinner for the three of us on Friday

The first time I ever saw GWTW I was about 10 -  it played in one of the old grand movies houses that still existed then -  I guess it was 1967.... my Dad dropped me off and I watched in a a nearly deserted movie theatre

Honestly, if Edith wasn't so efficient and productive, I may not be this way, but when we make a list of what we need to get done in x amount of time, it's always done early.  She is almost never sick, rarely misses work for anything and I'm happy to be able to give her some time off as a little extra something.  She's cooking for Thanksgiving, I figured she needs extra time just like the rest of us do
