I would find the snow tire ruling unfair.  DR Jennifer you didn't say if they had to be studded tires or some other tire you only use in the winter.  There are all quality all weather tires we can purchase instead of studded tires.

I'm not really an expert on tires. Just that they have to be winter tires.

I'm going to sign off and pay some attention to the news and the press conference coming up.  It's gotten way worse -- they just said we exceeded Columbine (??), but the numbers keep changing.

School is in the next town over, and is some eight miles from my house.  FYI, to the best of my knowledge, I don't know anyone who would be involved, or have any kids there.

Do you have to have a different set of tires in the winter that you switch out the rest of the year?  You would know if they were studded tires because those are very loud.

I have visited friends in Newtown a few times.  It is a beautiful area where you live.

18 children and eight others dead. This is so heartbreaking.  Supposedly a second person has been arrested.

I can't even imagine how devastated the parents learning that their children were dead must be.

I haven't been able to bring myself to watch the videos of what's happening in Newton. The stories are bad enough.

Many prayers and vibes for the families of all involved.

I'm up and have been dealing with something that's either going to be disastrous or beneficial - I won't know which for at least a month.  But we need excellent vibes and xylophones right now.

I am sickened by this country sometimes.  I am sickened that people can get their hands on weapons so easily and then cause havoc - they get the easy out - killed or they shoot themselves, but they leave behind pain and sorrow and it really does have to stop.

Terrible to see yet another school shooting. The news is receiving continuous TV coverage here in the UK.

The latest news item was that the shooter is the son of one of the dead teachers.  A body was also found at his home. I wonder if it will prove to be his father?

The shooter was Ryan Lanza, 24 years old. The police have his younger brother in custody. I suspect they're taking everyone associated in any way with Ryan for interviews to piece this mess together.

I think my MP3 player is dying. Bummer.

Oh well, I'm supposed to be getting a smartphone in January. Maybe that will suffice.
