I'm not watching the news and trying not to read too much. Sigh!!!!  :( :'(

Me too. I read a couple of articles. I don't usually watch any tv that isn't on my PVR. Not sure if I will watch anything. Too upsetting. :(

FedEx delivered the package at 6:00 and I have spent the last four hours in computer hell. I upgraded my Mac from OS10.5 to OS10.6.8, and then I lost my internet connection. It took several hours of plugging and unplugging the modem, rebooting the computer, playing with all cable connections and dealing with Apple support before things sorted out about 30 minutes ago. Then I had to update my software, and I am back.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vibes for cillaliz ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The worst part of today's news coverage was the footage that CBS Evening News showed of parents breaking down as they learned their child was dead. It was beyond heartbreaking, it was pure unadulterated raw pain and no one should be shown in that condition to the viewing public.
Today is one of those days I am really glad I don't have a television. I just wouldn't be able to watch it.
I was so busy today I had no idea about the terrible news until I was on my way home from work and called my parents who told me about it.  I didn't see the coverage of the parents that Elmore is referring to, can't agree more with your feelings about that.
I'm going to ask for some strong vibes from today through next week.  I've applied for a position I really want....it involves wearing a robe at work....my interview with the commission is 9:00 Tuesday morning.  There are 16 applicants, so any vibes you can send my way would really be appreciated.   Tuesday they narrow the field to three, Friday those three are interviewed and the decision is reached.
Most excellent vibes, Cillaliz. Knock 'em dead -- figuratively.
Went to a Portuguese-themed dinner tonight that was quite wonderful. Makes me want to go back to that country pronto.
Today was a great day, great school day, great show - but it was also one of the most hardest days I can remember. Be nice to each other, play well, win well, and lose proudly, smile and try it all again. Love each other and God bless us everyone.
Sleep well!
