Well, you've read the notes, the notes were a little nuts, and now it is time for you to post until the nutty cows come home.

I really like hazelnuts...especially in chocolate. :D However, I don't like it when they're called filberts.  Where did that name come from?

It's currently 41 degrees and there is a drizzling rain. Ugh. It's supposed to be like this for the next few days, although it's better than snow and 21 degrees.

I have a busy day ahead. I must get a haircut. The last time I had a haircut was November 2nd so it's been over a month and I feel unkempt. I have to go to Penn Station and get our tickets to Long Island before the rush so all we have to do is show up at the train station. I have to go to the post office and the library. Then I'll relax before we go to our annual volunteer party. We finished the work and now we relax with friends and enjoy the rest of the holidays.

Good morning, all!

It's time for my second cup of coffee, and I will head down to Toyland shortly after that. I have several scores to proof and several finished scores to accept or make further changes. I've also got to draft a terse letter about this next recording. It will only start a battle - why cab't the folk with the money stop interfering and trust? - I do not look forward to. I've also got a pile of bills to pay. And taxes.

I'm still working out my Christmas plans. They're vague. I've received one invitation but I have declined it. I wish I'd booked that ticket to Ohio. Or Dublin.

DR Ben, what great photos! Thanks for posting them.

I very much enjoyed ATLAS SHRUGGED Part One and am looking forward to Part Two on Blu Ray.

So many things were left out of the book - but I think the tone of the film is very close to the book.  And most of the actors did an okay job.

The only change that didn't make sense for me was that Dagny offered a NECKLACE in the movie for the bracelet made of Reardon Steel, and in the book she offers a beautiful diamond bracelet.....strange choice....of all things to change.

Philosophy is not my bag......but I think that Objectivism as written about by Ayn Rand is interesting.....

Glad you all enjoyed the pictures. It was a good year and it's nice to have the tree up and decorated so we can relax.

I'm home from some of my errands. I still have a couple to complete and then it's relaxing until the party.

This is from Saturday Night Light and it's just wicked. Imagine Al Pacino playing Charlie Brown, Edie Falco as Lucy and Larry David as Linus.
