Nice photos,. Jrand!

Trivia:  The Dryer and The Washing Machine were characters in CAROLINE OR CHANGE, and had memorable musical numbers.
Indeed, here's the cast list.  http://ibdb.com/production.php?id=11975

CDs ordered!

(Oy!  DR Jrand62 properly balances his checkbook like the world wasn't ending sometime today.  I, on the other hand, have been spreading it around like the Russians were in Jersey.)

TOD:

CD - THIS CHRISTMAS, CHRISTMAS COCKTAILS Vol. 3, a HOLIDAY INN soundtrack that I think came with the DVD, which seems to have an alternate take or two, and I just got to CAREER (great score!!! -- I'm sorry to say I've never seen the movie).

DVD & BLU holiday stuff - WHITE CHRISTMAS, A CHRISTMAS STORY (and the documentary ROAD TRIP FOR RALPHIE), NATIONAL LAMPOON'S CHRISTMAS VACATION, SANTA CLAUS (the 1959 Mexican film that everyone but me has seen), and the recently acquired BING CROSBY and BELL TELEHPONE HOUR specials.

BLU - BELOVED INFIDEL and HANS CHRISTIAN ANDERSEN.

The weirdest thing just happened (which I think happened one other time as well):

I typed the above post, hit "post", and found myself at a login screen.  Entered name and password, and got a message to the effect that I can't post here.  Then I clicked on my usual bookmark, found I was still logged in (of course), and all was well.

So, it's like 9 a.m. where Cillaliz is, right? Now she just has to wait.

I'm thinking it's 8:00 where she is, but I might be wrong.  Where exactly is she?

I'm sure she'll let us know before anyone -- even her mother.

So, DR ChasSmith never got his bacon cheeseburger yesterday.    :(

Isn't that sad?

Today, however, I will be in the vicinity of a Shake Shack.  I haven't had one of their incredible burgers in several months.  (It really is a good thing I don't live close to one.)  They don't do bacon, but the quality of everything (except for their surprisingly average fries, which is why I don't waste any stomach capacity on fries) more than makes up for that.

Loved Peter Filichia's column today. I almost bought the book he talks about for a friend of mine for Christmas. Now I plan to buy her a copy and pick up one for myself.

Thanks for the comments on the photos......yes she loved them.....they are very nice.

Dryer is scratch and dent - washer was a return because "customer did not like" - but they had both been checked and refurbished....so we got both of them for the price of one of them.  The dent in the dryer faces the wall, so it is not even visible....

Would like to have afforded a higher end range, but there were no S/D ones available.....and no S/D fridges either.....

I guess I am too much of a bargain shopper.

Thanks for reminding me, DR JRand. I do need to listen to that. Charles is a very nice guy and also, very, very talented...as of course, was his mom.

Me too. It is always hard to pay full price when you know you can get it cheaper.
