TOD:CD - THIS CHRISTMAS, CHRISTMAS COCKTAILS Vol. 3, a HOLIDAY INN soundtrack that I think came with the DVD, which seems to have an alternate take or two, and I just got to CAREER (great score!!! -- I'm sorry to say I've never seen the movie).DVD & BLU holiday stuff - WHITE CHRISTMAS, A CHRISTMAS STORY (and the documentary ROAD TRIP FOR RALPHIE), NATIONAL LAMPOON'S CHRISTMAS VACATION, SANTA CLAUS (the 1959 Mexican film that everyone but me has seen), and the recently acquired BING CROSBY and BELL TELEHPONE HOUR specials.BLU - BELOVED INFIDEL and HANS CHRISTIAN ANDERSEN.
I have to agree with BK about the over promoting of the film version of Les Miz. From what I have experienced in the past when a film gets too much promotion there is usually something wrong. Also not mentioned in BK review is that a lot of the songs have been truncated for the film version. I never been a Les Miz fanatic as I think the score is not one of the greats for reasons I have mentioned here before
We know of no plans for a full recording to be made available in the near future. This is the highlights CD.
And if you would like to hear (and see ) Victor Turpin (be carefull, he is shirtless in part of this music video), just click on this youtube video to see one of his songs.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7AZJvSsbJ4I
This is sad news:http://www.nytimes.com/2012/12/21/nyregion/spencer-cox-aids-activist-dies-at-44.html?_r=0In summer 1988, Spencer was my intern at The Drama Book Shop. He was funny, sassy, energetic, and through him I met Anthony Rapp and playwright Jonathan Sherman, who had gone to school with him. On his last day of work, before he went back to Bennington, I took him to see the John Waters film "Hairspray." I lost touch with him although I knew he'd become an AIDS activist. What's sad is to have thought someone was dead only to learn that they were still alive and you might have spent time with them before their end.
DR John G - I think you have your Christmas card photo for next year!
Wow - I just learned on Facebook that someone from my former workplace for whom I had ZERO respect is retiring at the end of the month!

Nice photo DR JOHN G.LOL DR GINNY - I think you should go to the party and make comments under your breath as the proceedings unfold.
DR JRand, your sister looks very happy with her new appliances. I know how exciting it is to get ONE at a time - can't imagine having all new ones all at once!
I'm sure she'll let us know before anyone -- even her mother.
