I went to Build A Bear today with my nieces. It closes tomorrow. :(

Everything that was left was 50% off.

My mom had gone yesterday and got them each a bear they wanted (which she will give them for Valentine's Day).

So today they were using their Christmas money to get some clothes.

And they just called and dressed some of the bears in their haul. So cute!

Looks like tomorrow I'll finally get to meet the 5 Somali kids I helped bring over from Kenya (living with an Uncle) to be reunited with their dad.  It's the second or third time we've talked about getting together, but we've planned for tomorrow afternoon at an ice cream shop in their home town.

And everything is in the house......the move for Molly & Austin to the house here in Mooresville is completed.....not unpacked....but everything is moved!

I am excited.  It took us nearly 2 years to get them here.  Lots of red tape and set backs

They love it here!  Of course they are with their Dad, who is now a US Citizen so that helps.  Their mother died a few years ago

I have friends who are caring for three South Sudanese children as their father is doing refugee and advocacy work. They are charming individuals.

The comments are interesting.....and I am assuming that a lot of them are from her friends, students, or the writer herself.

I was wondering the same thing. I suspects she does not understand the Victorian era literature and Post French Revolution literature and both have very different mind sets and trajectories. Also social mores and local historical events will have an influence on how stories are written and presented. God forbid if the writer commented on a Richard Sheridan Brinsley play.
