BK,

Is the new book a Adrianna Hoffsteader mystery?

Good morning, all.

Happy New Year and richest blessings for all of 2013. (And may your fingers get used to writing 2013 when it comes to writing checks.)

Checks? What are those? My checkbook gets little use these days. I've been slow to move to online banking, but now that I'm used to it I do find it a convenience.

And it's not a wild thing, just a nice gathering with a diverse selection of people coming and going till about 7:00 or 8:00 at which time it will come to a nice dignified close and we'll all get home at a decent hour.  And that, DRs, shall be my day.

Liven up that party with a cherpumple!

Do you receive a commision off of every cherpumple that is baked?

Aside from stretching and taking a hot shower, I've not yet done the things I intended to do today. I should get to it.

TTFN. Have a relaxing day, everyone.

Back from a two-mile jog.  It's nippy out, but once you get past the first few blocks the body temperature naturally warms up.

I was trying to decide what to read as my first read of  the year. I wanted it to be something really good. I decided on Lisa Gardner' new book Touch & Go that comes out next month.

So you won't be reading anything until February?

Getting ready to go see "Jack Reacher" this afternoon. Don't like the fact that Tom Cruise is in it, but the sounds of Werner Herzog as the villain is proving to be the real draw here.

I saw Les Miserables today.  I enjoyed it overall, but was disappointed in the singing of many of the actors.  While I enjoyed Hugh Jackman in The Boy from Oz and his "one-man show," I really didn't care for his vocals.  I was embarrassed for him during "Bring Him Home."

Wrote another few pages - eight so far, which is great for the first day of writing.  But I'm in a setting I know intimately, so I'm having a lot of fun writing about it.  I think it will be a slightly longer chapter one than is usual for me, but as long as it's interesting I'm good with that, I'm down with that, I'm jiggy with that.  I'll get ready for the Do now and then mosey on over there, after which I'll return, around five.

Sorry. No, I'll be starting it today. I got it early on netgalley (they give out advanced reader copies). I just wrote when it comes out in case any DRs wanted to read it).

I'm curious what I'll think of the singing. Funny, Hugh Jackman was not one of the actors I was concerned about, since I"ve heard him sing before.
