Saturday evening greetings from Bloomsbury!  We've had 2 full days with  Frs. Klukas (liturgy & art history) and Peay (church history).  Yesterday we boarded our chartered bus and went to St. Paul's Cathedral.  Spent a couple of hours there, then had a nice 2- hour bus tour of London highlights conducted by Kathleen.  She dropped us at the British Museum for 2 hours of touring, followed by a lovely dinner in the rotunda restaurant.  Short walk back to the hotel.

This morning we boarded our bus at 8:30 and headed for Canterbury.  Walked around the St. Martin's churchyard, then headed for the Cathedral quarter.  A cousin of one of our parishioners met us for lunch, after which we rejoined our group for a guided tour of the Cathedral and choral evensong.  Got back to hotel about 6 and we have the evening free.  Richard and I are spending it at Starbucks catching up with our email and social networking.

Tomorrow after church we travel to Norwich for the week.  I sincerely hope we have free wi-fi in the hotel there!

Topic of the Day:

Everything that's been mentioned, but I'd like to add "Just Because It's Magic" from Geppetto.  It's a duet between (on the soundtrack) Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Drew Carey.  It's one of those two-songs-sung-at-the-same-time songs that I love.  And it's just a cute duet. :D

Ginny - I visited Canterbury Cathedral about a year ago for the first time. Wonderfully historic!

How many DR's knew about this?  Even if you did, watch the results when the machines are "hacked".

Well, I've watched the pbs special. Wish I could say that I liked it better. I don't know if an extra half-hour would have helped. I don't discount any of the material included, but I guess it was just another of those specials, as has been pointed out here, that is not for theater aficionados. Everything in it has been shown and said before. It was just repackaged.
