So, the business manager is changing alarm companies and will have someone come out and deal with this shortly.  He's also going to come by the house and finally see the work that needs to be done, and that will get done soon.  So, I have to tell everyone to call my cell phone until this is fixed.  If I pick up the phone before the first ring is done then it's all right, so that's my option.

Jeez, what a nightmare.

DR Chas, over the years many, many of us have told stories of decluttering/tossing/culling. Oh, my, yes! But I think that DR JRand has earned the title of King of Decluttering, with his stories of tossing HOW MANY bags of stuff? Of course, I'm referring to tossing in general, not just tapes or DVDs, but I think you can relate to it.

Good morning, all! I had another round of weird dreams, but I realize my last dream about Lotte Lenya and the Kurt Weill Foundation may have been prompted by anemail from the Foundation yesterday that led to a discussion of the new Mordden book on Weill and Lenya. The dream was fun; something about my runnng into Lenya in Europe and running around with her. I remember nothing of an earlier dream now except for the fact that it had something to do with a car crash at Goldman Avenue and Florence street, about three blocks from where I grew up.

Another day today at Toyland: I'll finish my cpffee and head out. I have to deal with a McGlinn Estate inquiry from the Library of Congress. Oy!

I have never dreamt of Lotte Lenya.

My dreams seem to have fantastic supporting casts.

I do hope that when Larry writes his memoirs there will be at least one volume devoted to his dreams. They are fantastic!

I've had some doozies.  In one, some years back, I was around some venue or other where Gorbachev was visiting, and seemed to be on casual speaking terms with him and the security staff.

Doesn't say much for the alarm company, does it? I wonder how many people think they're protected when in fact their alarm company has outdated information.

Any suggestions on good music to exercise to? I've listened to Eileen, the London Promises, Promises and the new Pipe Dream, all of which worked. Now. Here. This. didn't. Neither did The Road to Qatar.

Cyndi Lauper's "Kinky Boots" was really good, but I generally dislike that kind of technopop stuff.

Suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I used to enjoy working out to the Pointer Sisters. Jason Graae's YOU'RE NEVER FULLY DRESSED WITHOUT A SMILE was my favorite while on the stationary bike.

I dreamt I was scheduled assisting minister and when I arrived to church I discovered that no one from Altar Guild had set up communion -  so I rushed into the ready room only to discover that some one had filled all the silver chalices with lettuce , cocktail sauce and cooked shrimp  creating  very fancy  shrimp cocktails - the silver plate for the host was piled high with raw shrimp and a  very chubby 7 year old boy wearing a acolyte  cassock was making peanut butter sandwiches  using the host as bread.  When I endeavored to stop him he began  loudly bawling  that he hadn't had any breakfast and that he had to play 3 games (which I somehow understood to be soccer)
Meanwhile I could hear that the church was filling up with parishioners and the communion still wasn't set  and I wasn't sure if all the serving ware was now desecrated or could just be washed and used and knew the sexton would  be furious if I dumped the shrimp into the garbage...

What a great dream! What great images!

Last night I was watching LOST EMPIRES. Was it Larry who mentioned it recently? I had never heard of it before, but it's quite interesting.

I knew there was a reason I was watching this stupid PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD.  And that reason would be Steven Arnell from ARROW.  Sadly, he decided to wear clothes.

How about Mamma Mia, or original songs by ABBA? :D

and then the Vixter  woke me up for church

probably that dream will be best appreciated by Laura and Ginny

Maybe JRand can figure that all out!
