Paul really wants to see Django...I don't want to see that either, but since it's on the list, I may go to it.  Plus, he hated Les Miz and told me it's payback, lol

I think you are due to watch something on the lighter side ;)

I really liked Silver Linings Playbook.  I also liked Moonrise Kingdom

Early (2am GMT) Sunday morning greetings!  I have insomnia and a bit of indigestion.  Our farewell dinner was lovely, but the meal was quite rich.  Of course, I cleaned my plates - all three courses - and drank too much wine!

Taking advantage of a strong wi-fi connection, which is very rare in this hotel.

I surely liked Zero Dark Thirty better than Moonrise Kingdom - surprising, but true.  I don't think Zero Dark Thirty is a great movie, but it held my interest.

I've written a little over ten pages so far.  Now I'm off to a birthday party at which there will be lots of film music types.  I'm meeting Nick Redman and his ever-lovin' Julie and our plan is to show up right on time at seven and escape promptly at seven-thirty, at which point we'll go down the street and have Thai food.  Then I'll come home and write a couple more pages to almost finish the chapter I'm on.

I Liked Moonrise Kingdom, but I wouldn't have nominated it for anything.

Funny, that is my reaction to the book.  Almost, I still think the book is brilliant but I don't want to read every bit of it.

I also have trouble sleeping after large meals.  When we travel we eat much later than we do at home which doesn't help.

I think tonight we will be watching the 3rd Gidget movies having watched the first two over the last couple of nights.  If memory serves me correctly the last one was very good.

Deborah Walley was enjoyable but we missed Sandra Dee.

Remember I said earlier that we were being treated royally here at Norwich Cathedral?  Well, we learned yesterday that our host, Canon Jeremy, has been appointed Chaplain to Her Majesty the Queen.  He's one of 30 and it's quite an honor.

From DR Vixmom regarding the "better" photo for DR Jennifer:
Quote
looks like that is on white  though   it really must  be on rye-  preferably seeded rye

I agree, and the hamburger was overcooked.

Of course, it was overcooked.  Jennifer didn't like the look of the rare one.

How did the Miss America Pageant end up in January?  Wasn't it always in September?

That is the Lost Boy's house behind them. He took us across the stage and showed us the set pieces.

I just watched for the first time - I cannot believe that! - IT'S ALWAYS FAIR WEATHER. It was quite moving, but what wa sthat strange dress Delores Gray wore for the broadcast? It looked like a demented tutu with a train.  I loved Gray. No one plays egocentric as well as she.
