Well, I had a wonderful day sitting on my arse.  But not doing nothing.  I just finished MURDER AT HOLLYWOOD HIGH.  It's wonderful, and was the perfect read for this very day.  I look forward to the others.

But there's a very special treat for Yrs Truly in this one.  An L.A. favorite that I don't believe I've mentioned here yet.  I stopped there in October and it was as incredibly good as ever.  The burger was IDENTICAL to the way it had always been for me, as far back as the late '80s.  We're talking nearly a quarter of a century later here, and that's a stunning occurrence as these things go.

I KID YOU NOT:  In the middle of the book, when Adriana decides to treat herself to one of her favorite things, the direction she starts heading in made me think of exactly this place, because that's the kind of treat it represents for me.  Then I thought, no way.  There are hundreds of places or things this could be.  And then, a few lines later, there it was...dots connected....

Sadly, Extremely E and T DR Jhvw went outside today and found their 13 year old dog Bella had died.  She was at the end of the driveway, he wasn't sure if she was hit by a  car (very quiet residential area) or if she had died from health problems, but it was a shock.  They are all very sad.  Unfortunatley one of Jon's friends posted it on FB before his two brothers had been told about it.  Fortunately I saw it and called with my condolences and he was able to get it taken of FB before the brothers saw it.

My deepest sympathies to the whole family.  What a shock.

Yikes!  Mine has an unlatching rope thingy you pull, then I turn the handle on the door and it frees itself and up she goes.

There is a rope dangling, maybe I'll try that.

Found a garage door fix-it place and they'll be out here between noon and two tomorrow.

Well, I need to go to work for a couple of hours.  I need to see if everything is still okay after yesterday's fiscal year rollover.  If there are any problems, I don't want to have to wait until Monday to find out.  I'm sure that it's all fine, but I just want to make sure. :)

Have a good day, all!

Electronic invoices looked good!  It really seems to have worked.

Just purchased the new German (in English) recording of "Sweeney Todd" and "Eileen" from iTunes.
Am on disc two of "Eileen" right now. Post what you think of the "Sweeney."

Umm...I thought that it was okay.  I'd read that it was an opera company's concert and there are lyric mistakes every once in a while on the recording. :-\

Already have played an anniversary service at church and have got the slides in order for the weekend.  Punch some guitar picks out of used iTunes gift cards (best Christmas gift EVER) and now trying to catch up and figure out how to make this office into bedroom.  I think it might be impossible, or take weeks and months.
Used iTunes gift cards are the best Christmas gift EVER? Would you accept some other used gift cards?  ;D

The Pick Punch was the best gift ever!!!

Cool.

That is pretty cool.  My sister's boyfriend plays the guitar.  I wonder if he'd like something like that.

After work, I went to Fred Meyer to get a new Ethernet cable (the one that I have now has a broken clip, so one end won't stay in my cable modem).

While I was there, I decided to get a mini-to-regular HDMI cable.  I can now hook up my tablet/netpad to my big screen TV!  I really have no need to do that, but it really does look pretty cool. :D

I also got a set of styluses (styli?).  I have the one that came with the netpad, but I lost the extra one that came with the netpad keyboard case.  There were six in the pack and now if I lose one, I'll have several extras.

Actually i am kinda proud of the kid -  she was supposed to go to a party  and she has an aversion to needles and she cancelled out of the party to go give blood  (also proud of the friend that was completely understanding about why Vixter  was cancelling)

That's great.  My niece has donated blood...she's a universal donor.

I'm not allowed to donate blood.

I had a half order of the Swedish crepes and a half side of bacon...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
You mean a side order of bacon? I usually sit down to a whole slab.

it was half a side order   I only wanted two slices instead of 4

I'm sorry, I don't understand.  Could someone please explain the following concepts to me?

"half a side order"
"only wanted two slices"

I just can't seem to wrap my brain around those things...

I hear ya.

;)
