I am going to watch CROMWELL on TCM this afternoon.  I always get a little murky on my English history around that time - so i am sure they way to clear that up is to watch a movie about it.
That's how I get most of my history, from movies and musicals. I'd know nothing about U.S. history if it weren't for "1776" and "Assassins."

Wrote four pages this morning, then had lunch with the helper at a Thai place, wrote another page, then picked up some packages.  I also realized I did not get the important weekly e-mail I should have received this morning, so I had to write an e-mail about that and hopefully they will take care of their little screw-up instantly.

Made it through the school day.  Now on to youth choir, then I'm so excited that I get to revisit Legally Blonde tonight.  Playing the pit again.  It'll be a lot of fun to play the show instead of having to worry about what's happening on the stage or in the pit.  Looking forward to visiting an old friend.

Dare I admit I don't know the show?

VIBES for a great pit playing, DR Matthew!

I love playing in pits.  Should do it more often.

Hope no parents complain about the content the way they did with "All Shook Up" recently.

Jerome Moross has a great Civil War musical, "Gentlemen Be Seated."  "Dearest Enemy" will soon be the great Revolutionary War musical.

Muse Margaret loved the rest of the pages - she had one tiny little detail thing, which she was totally right about - it required two new lines of dialogue and that was that.

I only have three more pages to finish the chapter I'm on, and I already know exactly how this chapter ends and how the next chapter begins.

It wasn't All Shook Up, unless something else happened. A teacher was fired, after the fact, for staging

Tragically a helicopter crashed in central London this morning (fortunately not close to where Ginny is staying).  Helicopters have to follow the line of the river but this one hit the top of a crane and fell onto a busy road. No news of casualties yet.

And the word of the day is: INCHMEAL!

Framk Loesser's original lyrics

Inchmeal, inchmeal
Measuring the marigolds
You and your arithmetic
You'll probably go far

Inchmeal, inchmeal
Measuring the marigolds
Seems to me you'd stop and see
How beautiful they are

Good morning, all.

There's a good four to five inches of snow on my world.  Oy!

What a difference between Manhattan and Connecticut. We have rain (they say it may turn to snow) but no white flakes around here.

no white stuff on LI either

BLAZE the SuperDog is most adorable.......

We had great photos of DR DRUXY's adorable Chester last week and now this week BLAZE!  This place is going to the dogs.

With apologies to Callie and Ricky and Boo, of course.  Since we had pictures from DR JANE of a lovely kitty as well.....

And what about Nicky?

I thought he had achieved personhood by now

I am back from lunch with my friend Peter Clem, whom I've known since a summer theatre production of GYPSY about 40 yesrs ago. When I moved to NYC, Peter got we working with him and two friends on a cabaret act that led to my becoming staff arranger for the New York City Gay Men's Chorus. at one point, during my six-month search for an apartment, Peter rented me his home office space for a bedroom and we were roommates for about six t eight weeks.

I hadn't seen him in about two years so it was fun to catch up.

I am glad you had a nice catch up

Sadly, two people died (including the pilot) and 13 have been injured.  Awful news, but still a miracle that more were not hurt given that it was during the rush hour and in the middle of London

LOL!  But I thought I knew some factual info from "1776" that got me in trouble with Mrs. Sibener in history class, where Peter Stone had made stuff up.  Like the saying goes, the fact that they're singing and dancing should have  clued me in that it's not a documentary. :)
