If you do not plan it out how do you know how many more chapters you need to finish it?

The lady in the NJ Beth Bath and Beyond yesterday was stabbed 24 times by a young mental case who should have been locked up: in December he burned to death a cat in a pet carrying case. I suppose they'll plead him insane, but I hope he's put away for a long time.  The lady is in serious condition and her baby was unharmed.

Was that at the Paramus Mall?

I saw him in "Rent" - front row on a bench in La Jollia.   Amazing experience.

I saw RENT  with the Vixter  just before it closed -  just didn't get -  I could not identify with any of the characters - they all struck me as self indulgent, and self destructive - irresponsible  -  I wanted them to pay their rent and call their mothers!!

Clearly, I was not the demographic they were looking for

on the OTHER hand ------ if Neil Patrick Harris was in it I probably would have loved it  which  character was he?  Mark ?

LOL - I totally get that.  Shows like Rent or Spring Awakening "speak" to our youngin's in ways we don't understand.  However, there is so much "angst" in that music that young people think that is how musical theatre should be performed.

vixmom - each of the Hofstetter books has the exact same number of chapters - I like that and will always keep to it.  So, twenty-one chapters is what they all have.  It all works out well in terms of how the plot plugs along.

I thought Stephen Colbert was a bit of stunt casting -  he can carry a tune OK but it was a bit of  stunt casting in my opinion - it wasn''t that he was bad, more that I didn't think he brought anything special to the role

So, Stephen Colbert sang "Ladies Who Lunch?"
