I tried to watch Outside the Box but had trouble.  Maybe it's the airport wi-fi?  I'll try again when I get home.

To answer your question from yesterday, DR TCB, yes I would say that the guy playing Captain Hook did a pretty good job.

Yesterday, my friends Paul and Leonard picked me up at my hotel and we went to see Peter Pan.  Paul is a season ticket holder and had switched his ticket from next Sunday to yesterday and ended up with a front row seat.  He was so nice to offer to swiitch seats for the 2nd act.  It was really fun seeing the show so close up, esp. for Captain Hook's Waltz.

After the show we took a couple of pictures with the Captain on the stage of the Pantages.  It was fun looking out at all the seats in the audience, not to mention seeing the sets up close.

I was up at six, announced, and went back to bed.  Prior to going to bed, I'd come up with what I thought was kind of a neat way into the penultimate chapter, so I made some notes.  I got up at nine and wrote the first three pages that way, but something about it didn't feel right, so I went back and changed it a bit - I'll see how that feels when I'm back from lunch.  I think it's better.  I was trying to keep the reveal a secret until it's actually revealed, but it's such a cheat to do it and it's a very literary device (where the character knows who she's talking to but the reader does not - there would be no way to film such a scene).  But even though you know when she begins the conversation who it is, the who will still be a surprise and her tale is the thing once you know the who, and then it goes on from there.

I did not watch the second season of DOWNTON ABBEY.....just the first episode and it didn't pull me in.....

So I will probably watch Season Three just to see what they are up to.

I liked the Season One episode that had the suitor coming to Downton.....but mostly to steal back his love letters from the footman.

I have spent the afternoon watching the first two episodes of Season 2, and I'm ready for No. 3.  It's all quite fascinating. I just never got to it last year.

Matthew, tell us more about the Next to Normal production you saw. Local group or who staged it? What kind of band/orchestra/two keyboards? And what was the audience like? Were they into it? The show intrigues me. I like things on the album and would like to see it, but i wouldn't want anything less than a band playing the score.

I finished Disc 1, and I will have to hold off on the next until dinner is over tonight.  Several years ago I had a marathon and watched every episode of the original UPSTAIRS DOWNSTAIRS, which took me weeks.

Back from lunch.  I actually decided to go with my initial instinct about the chapter - it's kind of fun - I just had to find a smoother way of doing it, which I did.  No packages.

Both will be available to order at six in the morning.  You know what to do if you want to order before then.

I have just ordered the two CDs through Kritzerland!
