TCB, that was Jupiter and the moon last night.

I am glad it doesn't snow here. Although I would have been fine with the cold -- except that my garden froze. We don't usually have to worry about that.

We watched the new Woody Allen film.

It's uneven, but there are many things to like about it.  It's certainly no MIDNIGHT IN PARIS, but it's not a turkey either.

I rate it "mid-level" Allen.

Good morning, all! I stayed up too late watching the 2nd series of DOWNTON ABBEY, but I got through seven of them yesterday. Then, because of the shoulder and neck, I could not get to sleep. So, today I will purchase some Tylenol PM and see if that helps.

That's good news on finishing the book, BK. Congratulations!

I'm off to Toyland, and whatever fresh hell waits there.

As I mentioned earlier, I finished my Basil Rathbone play a couple of days ago and felt that brief elation when one completes a project.  That, however, soon turned into a mild feeling of dejection, as one realizes that the project is finished.

 :(

Now, the question I ponder while I stare at my computer is "What to write next?"

 ???

Another play for THE HOLLYWOOD LEGENDS collection, or do I go back and finish that novel I started about a year ago then set aside?

Good morning, all.

And vibes for all the decisions, decisions.

Love the title, BK.

Sorry the Republic of Pie wasn't what it should have been, but I agree with you. People who know pie only from Mrs. Smith's or Marie Callendar's shouldn't be taken seriously when it comes to pie.

Glad you liked "Chinatown," George. It's one of those movies that people deem "important" so others stay away. Yet, it is important precisely because it's such a great piece of entertainment above all else.

Many options DR DRUXY.  Maybe Diane McBain would like help on her autobiography.

Leaf blower took it all away.  At this moment I have the blackest cleanest driveway in town.  If only I'd thought to try that last night before we ran up and down it a few times, there wouldn't even be the tire tracks that get packed down.

She's working with the guy who wrote the Sal Mineo book.

Besides, Diane and I are too close.  Too much history.

Druxy:  Evelyn Nesbit

Not Evelyn, but I am pondering a true story along those lines.   It would be a 3-person play.

Just need to figure out the structure.

Greetings from Toyland! The subway this morning kept stopping between stops. I don't know if there was a delay backup causing it or terrorists,

I watched five episodes of DOWNTON ABBEY last night.

Certainly lots of things going on this season......the Bates story does not compel me....but we shall see where it goes.  Other stories are more interesting....

Thomas is going to get himself into trouble again if he is not careful!

TOD: Any pasta dish I had in Italy last year ranks among the best I've ever had.

That said, I'm a sucker for linguine with clams. Preferably with a white sauce, but I've never said no to red.

I had the same problem with Shirley MacLaine that MR BK mentioned.....but I think a lot of it IS in the writing.  And it must have seemed like a great idea to have Shirley on the show.....but I think the actuality was not as good as the idea.

I wish they had gotten Carroll Baker instead......she can play that kind of gal.....if you think about her character in KINDERGARTEN COP....

I keep waiting for O'Brian to get it.  She is one passive-aggressive meanie.

I think they should spin-off O'Brien to her own series.  She could be a sort of anti-Hazel.

I was thinking of watching Woody Allen's TO ROME WITH LOVE mostly because the trailers made the Roman locations look so lovely.

That is hysterically funny, especially the last quip.
