After arriving home Friday at midnight, I've finally unpacked my suitcase and put it away.  Coming home sick really had me in la-la land there for a while.  I'm not yet 100%, but it's looking more and more like I'll live.  Also pulled my laptop out of hiding and it's nice to be back on it after 2+ weeks of hand-held devices.

Great, DR JRand!  I figured I owed you an apology for misidentifying you during the Edith Cavell discussion week before last.

I've watched the Hazel clip 4 times.  I'm still laughing, especially at the impersonation of "Sport."

Unless you count audiobooks, I haven't either. Bummer.  :(

I always count audiobooks.
Then I have experienced/absorbed one. Flight Behavior by Barbara Kingsolver. Recommend it much more highly than the Lacuna.

I finessed, futzed and fixed right up until I had to leave for Dr. Chew.  I made a lot of little fixes, smoothed out some stuff, made one important half-page addition, and rewrote all of one character's dialogue because it wasn't funny enough for him.  I actually thought of the new dialogue just before bed and was smart enough to get it written down, and it went in this morning verbatim.  All the little stuff made the book one page longer.

Good report from Dr. Chew - I'm in pretty good shape, teeth-wise, and no cavities.

I'd printed out the final twenty-one pages before I'd left, and directly after Dr. Chew I took them and got them Xeroxed, then delivered them to Muse Margaret.

Now I'll go have some lunch, hopefully pick up packages (definitely an Ontrac package coming, just heaven knows how late).  When I return, I'll make the show order and start on the contextual commentary - I just need to get that rolling, then I can do it over the next few days.

Getting sick on vacation always seems unfair.

Using my Nook for more than reading messages isn't easy so I try not to.

Congrats to MR BK on the Chew Report.

AHH!!!  DR KEVIN H - glad it's working for you....thanks for sharing the pics....they are great.

LOL DR GINNY.....I love the card......when I was about 10, there was a movie about Edith Cavell on television, and it was fascinating, although I'm sure, not completely factual.

Wouldn't Shirley Booth have been wonderful in Shirley's part in DOWNTON ABBEY.....Shirley or Thelma Ritter?
