My favorite song from the show, sung wonderfully by Hugh Panaro:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBoKoxy_v-Y

This is from an appearance of Hugh's at a nearby high school is Springfield, VA a few years ago as part of their Arts program.   I was there--he was great.  I think he sang 4 songs as well as did a Q&A. He talked a little about his touring with Barbra Streisand in Europe.   He also signed photos of himself afterwards.  He was very friendly.

I saw Hugh Panaro in Seattle in Sunday in the Park with George.  They used the Broadway revival  set and it was fantastic...and so was he!

I have finally felt like organizing the photos from our trip.  Here we are touring Norwich parish churches with Canon Jeremy (in the purple scarf)

The young woman who played Peter Pan here in 1996 has a website:

Leanna Renee Hieber

DR Ginny, is she from Middletown? Her site says "rural Ohio." Does that mean Franklin? Trenton? Monroe?

I've been sorting more receipts for my taxes. If I finish tonight, I can begin tallying tomorrow.

DR Elmore, I think she went to Madison.  Her dad taught at the art center and her mom at the campus.

I believe the only PETER PAN I've seen in the MM one, which I enjoyed.

In one week I shall be 60.

That's the title of my new book.

It's also true.
Congratulations a week early. Time to start the party.

Yes, given the crazy schedules of all one's friends, it really needs to be a birthday WEEK.

Kevin, I didn't know you went to hear any "H"s; I thought you just saw "B"s. Oh, that's right. You saw Sandy Bainum, but then that's a "B", as well.

I now have it on good authority that Lenny's, the new deli that will be replacing Junior's on Westwood Blvd, will open on Feb 7--and with lower prices. It makes me wonder if someone was watching the decliine of Junior's and saying, "$15 for a sandwich and they say they can't make money?!!" and grabbed the space when Junior's closed.

And, yes, my neighbor got his old job back.  I wish them all well.

Chester, our new pooch, has his second day of school today.

During this past week of study, he has learned "stay," and "down," however he seems to do it only when he want to.

 :-[

If that continues after you finish your classes you might need a personal trainer to make a couple of house visits.

Thank you, DR Jeanne, on both counts.  My husband picked out that shawl for me several years ago and, as you can see, it got quite a workout in England!  It just came back from the dry cleaners today.

I wonder how the sandwiches will compare for less money.  Will that mean they are smaller or the quality won't be as good.  I've also been thinking with the bad press the landowners got that Lenny, whoever he is, negotiated a good deal with a lower rent the first year.

Will your neighbor be making the same amount of money?  Of course I know that tips make a difference.

The wonderful Kathi Moss who was in the original Broadway casts of Grease (Cha Cha), Nine (Saraghina  sp?) and Grand Hotel passed away today. Last week (Jan 14) her friends got together at an Actor Fund's concert to raise money for her. She was unable to attend, but was able to watch it via computer.

Her is her wonderful performance on the Tony Award show with her show stopping Be Italian
