50 bars are proofed, and I'm taking a break. 72 measures to go!

I just had a phone call from my Missouri stalker. Oy!

This is my week for irritating ones. I mostly get unsolicited ones.

I think I'll get back to the BIG COUNTRY. I'll aim for another 30 bars and then look for some lunch.

I guess Fox has said the 1953 Titanic BLU RAY will be released on April 2......

Available now as an Import for the A/1 Region at Amazon....but this doesn't seem to be an official release.

Wednesday morning greetings!  Today I have my annual check-up with my cardiologist.
Check-up vibes, indeed.

Jrand, regarding your question to me yesterday:  My DVD player is currrently in Intensive Care and isn't even accepting visitors.  Hopefully, I will have some good news soon.

Ask BK

Does the DC trip include anything that people might join for, or is it just work stuff?

The conflict with my own rehearsals and running up against tech week -- not to mention travel time -- would probably knock me out of anything, but I couldn't not ask.

I'm working with the East Coast Singer.  I'll be there for three days and could probably do some kind of get-together.

I'm up and have been up dealing with the packaging for an upcoming release.  There are times I just want to brain people.  We had four cover options on this CD and I spoke loud and clear my choice - the designer agreed.  The singer did not, so we went with the singer's choice and used our choice for the inlay card (back of packaging).  The photos (which I insisted on - the original photos the singer wanted to use were horrible, so I made the singer do a whole new session) in the booklet are stunning.  But performers have their own weirdnesses about what they like - so this morning I got a bunch of options that the singer preferred.  Forget the cost of having to replace the photos that are there, but each and every option save for one, was HORRIBLE and didn't represent at all what the album or the singer is about.  It was actually shocking.  AND - best of all, the singer has now decided that - wait for it - I was right all along about the cover.  Insert me rolling my eyes.

So, we're using the cover I originally wanted - the cover that the singer wanted becomes the inlay card, and we are replacing one photo in the booklet, which is the one photo I wasn't thrilled with - with the only photo the singer sent this morning that was decent.  I have sent the singer several very strong e-mails, but I'm putting this puppy to bed tomorrow.  And I have to tell you, that if we were to indulge the singer and do everything asked for, in the end we'd end up right back where we were - just like with the cover.

Also, I was checking e-mails this morning, and suddenly my computer got dark and I got a "you must power down the computer and start it up again" - I called Apple and they told me it's a security thing and I may have gone to a website that was trying to download something onto the computer.  The only website I'd gone to (via e-mail) was LinkedIn to approve a contact.

There's a reason why you're the producer of the recording!

DR JRand and DR ChasSmith, a couple of new dvd double feature releases you might be interested in:

Both sets will have some nifty extras, and if you listen to the commentary on Monster from the Ocean Floor, you may hear my name mentioned :)
