DR Elmore, (from your post yesterday), yes, I believe that actor Rod Lauren was one of Henry Willson's clients. I did not interview him, however.

I tell you, I had weird, non-stop dreams last night.

First two were zombie nightmares which used to always be Night of the Living Dead like in format, but now are, since I started watching the tv series, The Walking Dead recreations.

These dreams always wake me up because I am kicking my legs to keep the zombies off of me in the dream and also am kicking my legs in my sleep, which wakes me up. I think I may have kicked cat Freddy off of the bed during that one. Must have thought he was a zombie.

The other two dreams had to do with hitchhiking.

In one, my sister had driven my mom to the east coast for some reason or other, and my mom hitchhiked back home. My blind, uses a walker mom...hitchhicking.

I was furious and asked my sister if she had known that mom planned to hitchhike home, and she admited that yes, she knew that was mom's plan.

The second dream had my good friend Ron returned from some visit to California or someplace far away and he was exhausted from having hitchhiked all the way back to Oregon. I was horrified that he had hitchiked, and chewed him out about it, or planned to when I next talked to him.

Have you read "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and the Undead"?

I believe that would be too advanced for him.  I believe he's still on DICK AND JANE BUY THE FARM.

Tomorrow some group called The Patriot Party are gathering their  flock (they estimate 1,000 to 1,500) downtown, right by my work.

Here is the quote from their leader: Oregon is an open carry state," Tharp said. "It's just that Oregonians aren't used to seeing people walking around with a gun on their hip. We're going to change that.

I am not really looking forward to this.

That is an unusual looking book series, DR JohnG. I wonder if they are entertaining?

I enjoyed the "Pride and Prejudice" because of the way it used the original manuscript and then took it apart here and there to incorporate the zombies. Then it went back to Jane Austen, etc.

As to the Bob Merrill revue - I can't remember if Mr. Ellis was at our Merrill show - he's seen two of ours.  But the minute I read that three women arrive at a sleazy bar I know that it's a completely mis-conceived evening from start to finish - and why?  Why do these jukebox shows feel that need to just make some stupid arbitrary plot.  Just celebrate Mr. Merrill with clever choices, good arrangements and great people.  Our Merrill show was really wonderful because we had five great singers, one great guest star (Lainie Kazan), and fun anecdotes about the shows and Mr. Merrill - what else do you need?  You either trust the material or you don't.  As to the director - he's okay but maybe shouldn't be shepherding a new show - that's a very difficult job.

Hmm...one hour since the last post. Must be a slow newsday.

I'll fix that with a photo of that dreamy 1930s actor, Warren Hull.

If that photo didn't do the trick for you, here is a nice shot of Huntz Hall snapping a pic of my dear friend Laurie Mitchell.

Home from Toyland and planning Monday's trek to Trenton, NJ. Unlike Nanette, I am not going to visit my aunt.

Hmmm....there seems to  be a theme with all of these posters...don't quite know what it is. Just a feeling.

After puttering at home and having a bit of lunch, I ventured out again to visit my yarn shop for a knitting consult that resulted in my purchasing one more skein of yarn for my current project.  Home now and ready to take it easy.

BK, I, too, enjoyed today's notes about CABARET.  It was the first show I saw on Broadway in the summer of 1967 and the original cast was still in place.  Mom and I met 4 of the 5 principals afterwards and got their autographs.

At first the movie didn't appeal to me because it was so different.  I especially didn't like MEIN HERR, because I thought it was a MILORD rip-off.  After reading BERLIN STORIES, though, I realized that the movie is truer to the original material than the stage version.

I hope they don't mean that I am a crazy person, DR JRand. The dreams, that is, not the posters.

I'm here.  Proofer one delivered the copy-edited manuscript - I must be getting better at proofing because she found very little, although made some catches that I might never have caught, punctuation missing-wise and stuff like that.  There are only a handful of things to run by Muse Margaret, otherwise I've entered 90% of what she found.
