Loved the Too Darn Hot video, BK!

Still hoping that someday you can videorecord one of the Kritzerland shows and have them for sale.

TOD:

The worst of today's technology are the automated voice messages which you get when you phone businesses and organisations and which keep ypu waiting for ages while they talk away and then ask you to press button such and such if it's about so and so and which often don't match up with what you phoned about anyway. They do their utmost to stop the caller from actually speaking to a human being.

Several inches of snow fell in the night. It's melting fast which is fortunate because I'm about to drive to the job.

Thanks so much for the heads up on that BLACK SUNDAY!  I had no idea that was out there, and I'm so glad I hadn't yet bought the Kino release.  Arrow is great, and I see the same treatment for BLACK SABBATH is up for pre-order.  Ordering these immediately.

I didn't get the chance to fight the good fight last weekend when I got ambushed by a head cold.  Started with a sore throat and before I knew it I was flat on my back for a few days.  And it left me as quickly as it hit me.  Oh, well--at least I got that over and done with for this winter...

DR George:  I love Ring Cycle documentaries, and the STAGE HANDS one is great.  Do you have THE GOLDEN RING: THE MAKING OF SOLTI'S RING?  Not only great, Ring-wise, but a beautiful look back at real recording in the, uh, Golden Age.  I need to get the DVD which will be an improvement on my laserdisc.

I tried to watch the Grammy's.

I'm too out of touch with the new stuff.

Ditto!, DR Sam.  I've barely related to anything on the Grammys for the past 10-15 years.

Good morning, all!

I had a night of bizarre dreams, including several about a treacherous record producer making my life tres miserable. God knows what put him in the midst of last night's dreams, but I found it quite unsettling.

So, this morning I will putter about the apartment until around 10:15, when I will head to Penn Station. The train ride to Hamilton will take about 75 minutes, so ANNA KARENINA will accompany me.

Did a marathon finish of "Middlemarch" and now I don't want it to end. I think Elmore will feel the same at the end of "Anna K."

Continued excellence VIBES for BK's GOOD FIGHT.

Nothing I hate worse in a cold than a sore throat.  Thankfully, I don't get them like I used to.  For some reason, in my twenties and thirties, my colds would always start with a good 24 hours of strep-level throat HELL.
