Was just sent a review for the singer's show that we recently did here in LA.  Excellent review so riddled with silly mistakes that I'm not even linking to it.  I did send its author a correction that I asked her to insert into the review, because for no reason whatsoever the reviewer attributes a set of lyrics as original and written by the singer.  Well, no, since it's my song, When You're Waiting For Love, that she's referencing.  I set her straight about that, and the set her straight about the actual correct lyric that she's mangling in a quote.
That's too bad when it happens. Sloppiness on the writer's part, you think?  Or could there by any other reason?

Just sloppy, I'm sure.

comfort food, satisfying and good to the last bite."

DR KevinH, what is Brent doing in Jamaica?

I am home from the jaunt to New Jersey. The two radio hosts, Michael and Ted, were great, and I had a fantastic time.  I'll be curious to see how the assemble the interview.  They said it would go into three(?) sections: one before the recording and then between the acts. They don't plan on playing any of the Appendix numbers.

Had a nice day today celebrating my brother Allen's 60th birthday. It was a surprise party, but he wasn't surprised. He had overheard someone at his work talking about it weeks ago.

Did you come South for the party?

It was up in Tigard. Allen and his wife had just arrived in Portland the day before from their trip to Mexico.

Jane - the fries were frozen but I do sometimes make my own fries as well  :).

If I buy a bag of frozen French Fries, and I drag them home, and I take them out and bake them or deep fry them; Then they become MY French Fries!

Thanks so much for the heads up on that BLACK SUNDAY!  I had no idea that was out there, and I'm so glad I hadn't yet bought the Kino release.  Arrow is great, and I see the same treatment for BLACK SABBATH is up for pre-order.  Ordering these immediately.

I'll bet bK could sell Chas a Used Car!

I have heard that one Broadway reviwer used to arrive drunk, sleep through the show and write a rave because he was on the take.  He's no longer alive.

T.O.D.

Originally, I was going to say texting, especially because of all these tragedies with teenagers who die in car accidents while texting.  But in the final analysis, I think I would do away with all cell phones.  It is total insanity to see all of these people in Malls and city streets, totally lost to everything and everyone around them.

Cell phones have saved lives.  Without my cell phone to call Keith after my two falls & breaks, especially the shoulder one, I'm not sure how I would have gotten out of the hiking trails.

They were also very helpful when I had sick children & could be reached in my car, plus the times I made emergency calls to the vet while I was out.

Just sitting here like so much fish and resting.  Just heard that the helper has jury duty on Wednesday morning.  The ONLY day when I need her this week - amazing how that works, isn't it?  This girl is totally dependent on working at a restaurant and doing our stuff and now she's completely taken out of it.  I'm going to have to go in at eight-thirty in the morning on Wednesday, then lug all the UPS boxes because I can't have those go out late, and then she has to come in whenever she finishes there and do EVERYTHING else and get it to the post office either that day late in the afternoon or the next morning before she has to go in again, IF she has to go in again.

Well, I'm off to my sister's house.  She says that she has chocolate cake.  Jane, because my sister made it, of course, it's vegan. :)

Then, I'll go home and try to figure out what I need to do (and how to do it) for my first treasurer's report for tomorrow's Theater Artists Olympia's monthly board meeting.  I also will need to switch over the debit card information for our storage unit and insurance auto payments.  I got a new card a couple of weeks ago, but the storage unit payment isn't due just yet.  The insurance payment was made last month, before I got a new card.  I'm sure that I can figure it all out, but hopefully, it won't take too long.

Be back later!

It's taken forever, but Outside the Box has its imdb page, so here's the link and go review the overall show, and then if you click on the 1 or 2 under seasons, you can also review the episodes themselves.

TOD:

The worst of today's technology are the automated voice messages which you get when you phone businesses and organisations and which keep ypu waiting for ages while they talk away and then ask you to press button such and such if it's about so and so and which often don't match up with what you phoned about anyway. They do their utmost to stop the caller from actually speaking to a human being.

This is exactly the thing I hate most as well -  I waste  so much time every day with these stupid things -  if a person simply answered the phone and I could explain who or what  wanted I would probably save  8 to 10 hours a week
