TOD:

WEEDS, The Final Season

Amazon screwed up my order, so I won't have THE SESSIONS, SKYFALL or ARGO until early next week.

Good morning!   LOL, Larry, I watched the passengers get off last night.  It sounded like some of them had running water and could flush but most couldn't.   A part of me says I wouldn't have wanted to be on that ship, another part of me thinks after the danger of the fire was over, it would have been an adventure to talk about for years to come

I have only read ONE of the James Bond novels.....so I don't know if the backstory of Bond in SKYFALL is from Ian Fleming - I doubt it......I didn't like it much as the setting for the last third of the film.....kind of James Bond meets STRAW DOGS.....

I've not read any of the books either. I also agree about the last part of the film. The setting and action were the antithesis of what a James Bond film has traditionally been and so I found it disappointing.

DVD: BLACK ZOO. No one does crazy like Michael Gough - although I think Elisha Cook Jr, in his one scene, did his best to try and outdo Gough in the over-acting stakes.

A good reason to be nice to fans

Some Broadway actors, many of them tv and film stars, were terrible. Others - I can think of Rebecca Luker and Cheyenne Jackson, for two - are quite wonderful to people at the stage door.

I keep wondering if it will hit a satellite.  No one has said anything about that, but they keep saying it's going to be closer than some satellites so it must be intersecting their orbits

OK, I've balanced my checkbook, synched my iTunes with my new iPad, shopped online for knitting needles, and updated my FictFact, so it's time to get offline and get on with my day.

Bye for now!

DR JRand was kind enough to send me a copy of THE BLACK ZOO...what a fun film that was!

TOD:

In the mail I got a Bollywood film that co-stars Mighty Gill. Well, Mighty messaged me today that he is not in that film due to a disagreement with the director. For some reason they left his name in the credits, though.  :(

So...will likely watch whatever it was that Netflix sent me in the mail this week.

Most actors try to be friendly and polite to their fans.  Sometimes, however, fans can be a bit "demanding".

Taxes are over, and I did much better than I feared!  I owe the state and IRS a bit but not so much as last year.

So, I can now get a bit of work accomplished on ROBERTA.

I'm up after at least ten hours of blessed sleep.  Groggy and hoarse but I think I'm feeling a bit better this morning.  We shall see as the day progresses.

BK, are you taking Guaifenesin? It would help break up that phlegm so you can cough it out easier.

DVD - Skyfall

CD - Breakfast on Pluto

I have only read ONE of the James Bond novels.....so I don't know if the backstory of Bond in SKYFALL is from Ian Fleming - I doubt it......I didn't like it much as the setting for the last third of the film.....kind of James Bond meets STRAW DOGS.....but I like Daniel Craig.  And then of course there was the sassy black girl stereotype, played as it always used to be, by a pretty and untalented actress, who I guess is now a regular in the series.....as is another favorite actor Ralph Fiennes.

ANYWAY.....my favorite Craig Bond film is still GOLDENEYE.

Ralph Fiennes plays a pretty and untlaented actress in SKYFALL?  Damn!
