I enjoy Frank Garrison's recordings of older musicals, such as the McGlinn "Show Boat" recording or BK's own "You Never Know." Glad I got to see him in "Titanic."

Who is Frank Garrison?
Actually, if I recall correctly what I was thinking all those hours ago was that David Garrison played Frank on the Show Boat recording.

Had a short nap, then last night's leftover spaghetti.  It's nice to be HOME!

I never knew that there was anti-Jewish semitism when I was growing up - at least for me personally I never saw on instance of it.

TOD:

I loved Pine Bros. cherry cough drops when I was a yougen.  I would usually pop more than one in my mouth and a box never lasted long.  However, my mom's preferential cure for a sore throat was a spoonful of honey.  Talk about gagging me with a spoon!  Yuck!

TOD:  for the past several weeks I've been living on Ricola lozenges, alternating between cherry and honey/lemon.

I never knew that there was anti-Jewish semitism when I was growing up - at least for me personally I never saw on instance of it.

Living behind Hillcrest Country Club made me aware of the fact that the club was started since Jews couldn't join other clubs.  I didn't personally experience it until I was in Jr. High & High School.  Except for the nasty Jew statement carved out on my desk in high school (really should have reported it instead of looking at it every day) my antisemitic comments were made indirectly to me by people who didn't have a clue I was Jewish.

DR Laura....I wasn't following the Jodi Arias trial, but have caught up and am now very interested.  The prosecutor was a friend of mine when I lived in Phoenix.  We had at least one trial together and I think we had several trials, it was before he was doing the death penalty cases.  He won, lol, but that was back when I was just starting out.   So, I'm cheering for the prosecution.  Besides, I think she's guilty as sin .

I am very glad I was not chosen for this jury.

I'm not a honey fan, either, DtM. The only way I like it is in a hot toddy with plenty of bourbon. That was my mother's home cure for whatever ailed you. I still take it when I get sick.

Oh boy, I bet you are!!  I'm into it now, I've watched the recaps, watched the argument about prosecutorial discretion, which was just plain stupid.  I will be watching the next couple days.  I am curious to see how Juan crosses her.  I haven't had a trial against him since 1991, but I remember the last one.  He won the trials we did have, but that's before I got my groove and really learned the skill of being a trial lawyer.
He has SOOO much material to work with

I didn't work today.  I brought some home and intended to do laundry and some work, but that didn't happen.  I did get to the store, Petco and filled the car with gas, so I'm ready if we do get the foot of snow later this week.

and then when I stepped into the car it had been fully vacuumed -  all the glass cleaned inside and out and the dashboard and steering wheel , in fact all the hard interior had been cleaned and polished

My head and sinuses were very sore today.  I think it was all the dust and crud being blown around by the high winds.  I took an advil cold and sinus and stayed in the house and I feel better now

Cillaliz -- do you agree with this statement?

"The job of the defense at this point isn't to walk her out of the courtroom. Their job is to keep her from getting the death penalty."

I think I am going to have to purchase me some throat [sic] drops soon.

Relive the pleasure.

Let's see -- they're a dime per pack, right?
