I recorded "North By Northwest" from TCM and am now burning it onto a DVD.  I've never seen it!  I'm now rectifying that situation.

Today, I was supposed to meet with a co-worker, who is the treasurer of our base-unit union's board of directors.  I'm the treasurer for the supervisor's unit.  She's going to teach me a lot of what I'm supposed to do, but she called yesterday saying that she thought she had the flu, so we're not going to meet.  Instead, the property manager of my condo complex, Shelly called and asked if I wanted to visit with her and have lunch, so I'll do that.  After that, I'm going to my sister's to hang out with the family.

Have a good day, all!

I am home from Toyland andpondering dinner.

Last night I had a vivid dream about an Ohio romance I've not seen in 33 years. I'm feeling rather sad and melancholy about it.

This phlegm and mucus does linger - worse today than yesterday and very annoying.

Had a salad for lunch - no bagel or any bread, though.

In a moment I have a tiny meeting here, and then will wait for pest control to show up at three.

I've had my sofa and armchair in the living room for nine years now - but have never had either steam cleaned, and boy do they need it - so the steam cleaners will be here Friday morning to do so.  That should restore both to the luster they formerly had.

I enjoy Frank Garrison's recordings of older musicals, such as the McGlinn "Show Boat" recording or BK's own "You Never Know." Glad I got to see him in "Titanic."

I forgot some people have the day off from work.  Fortunately I remembered the post office is closed before getting out of the car in my gym clothes.  I don't mind walking back to the car after I've worked out & warmed up but the walk in wearing shorts can be very nippy at this time of year.

I'm curious to know if you really can see a difference once they are cleaned.

DR George, before my friend David Garrison was on MARRIED WITH CHILDREN, DR Ginny and I had seen him play Snoopy in the Grossman-Hackaday musical SNOOPY, and he'd been one of Harvey Fierstein's replacements in TORCH SONG TRILOGY.

David Garrison was actually fired from TORCH SONG TRILOGY for giving a flat performance.

Actually, i've always suspected he was fired for being straight.

I love both the book and the film of A GENTLEMAN'S AGREEMENT.  I think the cast is a great fit for the novel.  Bruce, I agree Celeste Holme is terrific.  Is she ever not.

I found your comments on anti-antisemitism interesting.  Were you not aware of it when you were young?  It did get better and now I sadly believe it is getting much worse again.

David's evil twin. Apparently.
