I like Hall's cherry now. I think it's the menthol that clears my sinuses or something.  When I was growing up we all ate Luden's cherry like they were candy....they really seemed like candy.

There is an article in the Times today and Fellowes says (they are already filming Season 4) that they pick up 6 months after, just like yesterday's episode opened "one year later" after last week's.

I'm about to head into the office.  I'm planning to work at least for a few hours this morning.  I have several projects that I can sit down and get accomplished so we can send they out on Tuesday.  We have a high wind advisory all day, just 30-40 mph, which isn't all that unsusal around here.

I got the cleaning supplies I need for later this week and stocked up on some staples I was out of since a storm is coming.  I haven't gotten any snow total estimates from anywhere but weather underground, but they are saying 10 or more inches on Thursday-Friday.  Really looking forward to it and they fact that I don't have to be worried about getting on a plane, being delayed, etc.  Whew!

Thanks Ben, that makes a lot of sense to me.

Am getting a new roof put on the house today, while I'm at work. It seems strange because it's so gray and cloudy, with fairly low clouds, that it looks like it's going to rain at any moment. Can't imagine doing that work in the rain.

Vibes they get the new roof on before it rains!

Well, I better get my day started.  I think I'm going to get some work and bring it home.  I can get my work down while I do laundry.

Now the weather channel is saying either 6-12 inches or 12+ inches.  YEAH!

We are still in an extreme drought.  We really really need the moisture.

That is the episode that aired here last week (unless she was on more than one episode). Also the Joan Rivers episode aired.

Greetings from Toyland!

The building is closed today, but I had my front door key handy and sailed on through.

I like GENTLEMAN'S AGREEMENT, but I think that CROSSFIRE, which came out the same year and also deals with anti-Semitism, holds up better as a movie...probably because it's more melodramatic.

I had former publicity clients associated with both films.  Edward Dmytryk directed CROSSFIRE, and actor/drama coach Curt Conway had a small, but significant, role in GENTLEMAN'S AGREEMENT.

Were you publicizing Dmytryk when he directed THE CARPETBAGGERS?

I think they were both in season three. I've found that the show has finally found its groove and is just wonderfully silly. The guest stars all seem to be in on the fun, too. It's not "Cheers" or "Mary Tyler Moore," but it's got enough belly laughs to make it entertaining.

I hope you get the amount of snow you'd like without your roof being too badly affected.

Good morning, all! Yesterday became a difficult day after a pleasant morning. Rosemary Ashe is out, and the Man from Philadelphia is working my last nerve on casting this role. I'm hoping this can be resolved very soon. And pleasantly.  Right now I'm dealing with someone who wouldn't know a bass from a soprano and he's making things difficult.

This morning, I am heading down to Toyland for some work and some research. I need to listen to the various recordings of ROBERTA and check keys, then I hope some more work comes in from the copyists. We have two weeks to finish the first draft of this score, and I'm getting tired of waiting for copy.

DR George, before my friend David Garrison was on MARRIED WITH CHILDREN, DR Ginny and I had seen him play Snoopy in the Grossman-Hackaday musical SNOOPY, and he'd been one of Harvey Fierstein's replacements in TORCH SONG TRILOGY.

I loved David Garrison in I DO! I DO! opposite Karen Ziemba.  I went really not sure how the show would hold up, and it was wonderful.

No, I started with him when he was working on ANZIO.

Actually, I didn't meet him for several months after his wife (actress Jean Porter) hired me.  He was in Italy making the movie.

I'm up after ten hours of blessed sleep.  I'm ready to not do ten hours again - eight hours is fine.

I think other than residual mucus and phlegm and vocal hoarseness, I'm pretty much over this damn thing and good riddance.
