Good morning, all.

Casting vibes for Elmore.

Phlegm-be-gone vibes for BK

Thanks! I just thought of the wonderful Irish mezzo Ann Murray who is now retired and teaching. I found these youtube clips of her and Felicity Lott in a concert that are quite funny:

Just get Karen Morrow.

Or Joan Morris...

All this talk about mucous and phlegm (the plegma...what gets stuck in the tubes...) has kept my morning appetite to a minimum.

Cheesecake Cupcakes.

LAURA arrived in my mailbox today.

Last Sunday on ME Tv - an episode of THE LUCY SHOW featured Lucy competing in a billiards contest against Dick Shawn who was in drag....   His drag character's name was Laura....and the "Laura" theme was played every time someone said the name....I didn't notice a credit for Raksin at the end of the show.....but maybe I should check the DVD set to see if it's there.

I, on the other hand, am up.  Looks pretty out, unlike yesterday.  I think I got a little over eight hours, which is perfect.

It's been quite busy at Toyland this morning!

Curtis is correcting my edits and I'm onto "I Won't Dance."

Morrow and Morris are not in the running, folks!

I got news for you - Morrow wouldn't be in the running if you wanted her in the running.  Morris I don't know about :)

TCB, regarding your question from last evening, Sukh was not my neighbor. I only just met him at Sunday's Indian baby shower party.

Am I the only one who thinks of some good "Ask BK day" questions during the week, but by the time Wednesday rolls around has totally forgetton them?

DR GEORGE I have a PC and if you have installed Real Player and Flash you already have the capability to download what's on You Tube.  When there is a video up, the words DOWNLOAD THIS VIDEO should appear when your cursor is near the screen.  I download, then use the free FORMAT FACTORY to convert the FLV files to AVI and then burn.

There are also a couple of free programs to join the pieces up if you wish, but you don't have to.

JRand, I can download the actual videos without any trouble.  It's converting them and burning them to a playable DVD is what I need to learn how to do.  I didn't check out FORMAT FACTORY last night, but I'll try to take the time tonight...or soon, anyway.  Thanks for the info. :)

Good morning, all!  I am off to Toyland.

Things settle down on the casting front, and then the agent informs you that the singer you want is unavailable. So, it's back to Square One, and working my last nerve. I am very unhappy this morning because I simply have no ideas left: Marilyn Horne we can't afford, Janet Baker's retired  (80 years old!), Sarah Walker turned us down, Diana Montague is in rehearsal, and my other choices are vetoed by the producer.  I am very unhappy at the moment.

~~~CONTINUED CASTING VIBES FOR DR ELMORE!!~~~
The sun is came out today during my morning hike.  We went through the park today and up around it.  Another woman and I went out for drinks, tea for her & hot chocolate for me, and then walked over to a few store.  We sat outside with our drinks in the sun.  It felt very good.
Very cool.
Shia LaBeouf
Orphans
won't be making his Broadway debut after all.
Good old creative differences.  All those Shia fans will have to return their tickets.
I saw ORPHANS many years ago....didn't much care for it then.....not sure how I would feel about it now....haven't thought about it in years.....it seemed like a Joe Orton play trapped in a Tina Howe play to me.
I watched that Kander/Ebb thing last week.....there was no point of view.....no real structure or rhyme or reason to the song selection......and it could have been good.....
I liked the setting.....but I was so bored, I kept looking into the windows of the apartments across the street.
