I received a book in the mail today from a friend that I'm looking forward to reading. It is called "grayson" by Lynne Cox. Lynne is a long distance swimmer and the story is about the lost baby whale she encountered when she was 17. Having read only the first couple of paragraphs I have a feeling I'm in for a real treat.

Last night I finished reading "The Last Child" by John Hart (King of Lies). I thought it was terrific. I didn't want to put it down and I didn't want it to end.

Getting there from Austin is not easy.

Actually getting just about anywhere from Austin is not easy.

On the way there, I go through Atlanta, then on the way back, I go through Detroit.

San Antonio is the same. Almost always a detour on the way to where you want to go.

No, I didn't have it at all - gone long ago. I was alerted to it through classmates - a company does these reprints and they're very nice.

I am home from seeing The Mystery of Edwin Drood, thanks to the kindly offer of a ticket from DR Cillaliz. I had seen the original production twice, so I didn't particularly plan on catching this one, but I am very glad I did. It was quite wonderful and a lot of fun. There were a large number of understudies tonight, so I didn't see Chita Rivera, Will Chase, or Peter Benson. but I saw three excellent performances by Alison Cimmet, Spencer Plachy, and my old friend Nick Corley, as well as my Finian, the wonderful Jim Norton, as the Chairman. Our Finian's Rainbow director Warren Carlisle choreographed this production quite nicely. The scenery was amazing, and I liked a lot of William Ivey Long's costues, except for some with out-of-control bustles that looked cheap and silly rather than period.

I have to be at City Center by 10am tomorrow to help Joshie prepare for the SUPERMAN orchestra deadline, so I am off to bed.
