According to the obituary, Del Tenney acted on Broadway! Who knew. He was certainly a very handsome man in his day.

TOD

Gosford Park
A Prairie Home Companion
MASH

I'm sure I've mentioned before that DS Bryan's good friend, whom I've known since he was 11, worked for Altman and often mentioned how nice he was.

Went out to pick up some prescriptions for my Mom and to do a little shopping for her at our favorite deli.  I delivered those items to her and helped her with some paperwork.  It's a wine-with-dinner night for me...

And it would probably be rude to look in that keyhole, huh?

I would say yes, but I imagine it was done.

Wow, Leo Ciceri (pictured above) died just 15 years later, in 1970 at age 46 in a traffic accident in Canada.

That's terrible!

I've never seen Nashville.  Hearing all the talk about it makes me think I should.

It can't be TOO sad when someone lives to the ripe old age of eighty-two.  Rather a bravo for making it that long.  Of course, once upon a time I did a new version of Horror of Party Beach for some idiot producer who got exactly what he asked for in the script, and then couldn't even raise the half-million to do it.  What a loser.

Last night I reluctantly stopped reading the book I had purchased, and couldn't return, from Barnes and Noble and began the book from my library I had been expecting last week.  Good thing I changed course as this morning the 2nd book from the library arrived.  I now have 3 must read in the next 11 days.  The 11 days is the time I set for myself.  I have 21 days for the library book and 11 days for my book discussion book.

My point to that boring post is that I am going to go read now. ;D

Ricky has been waking me up in the middle of the night and so last night I had a little talk with him about it.  At 4:00 AM Boo woke me up and Ricky just sat at the foot of the bed and didn't make a peep.  I almost started laughing. It was like he was listening to me and Boo took over the wake up mom role

And on another legal front...Obama Administration To Back Gay Marriage In Prop. 8 Case.

Quote
WASHINGTON -- The Obama administration will urge the Supreme Court to allow same-sex marriage to resume in California, Pete Williams of NBC News reports. Thursday is the deadline for the administration to submit a friend-of-the-court brief in the Proposition 8 case, which will examine whether California voters had the right to ban same-sex marriage.

The precise language and scope of the amicus brief is unknown, but is expected to be filed later Thursday afternoon. It is unclear whether the brief will take the position that it is unconstitutional for any state to ban same-sex marriage or whether it will only speak to the specific circumstances in California, where voters narrowly voted to end gay marriage in 2008.

Thirteen states and the District of Columbia filed an amicus brief earlier on Thursday urging the Supreme Court to strike down Prop. 8.

President Barack Obama has stated that he personally believes that same-sex couples should be allowed to be married but has also previously said the issue should be left up to the states.
