Goodmorning, all! I have to head down to Toyland and wait for a delivery of toner for our Lexmark printer.

While there, i'll work on several problematic things with ROBERTA, and continue to wait for new scores. We're now a week late on my March 1 deadline forfinish of first draft and I'm a bit pissed over it. On the other hand, I could be working in a job I hate and living for retirement.

I'll check in from there.

I can't thnk of an opening number I hate. Too many shows of the past 30 years I've detested so why worry about their opening numbers? The opening to "A Little Night Music" is confusing: vocal overture, then a dance with characters you've not yet met, all before the libretto kicks in. Nice music but poorly assembled.

And while we are on the topic of musicals today, here is a question for you all:

Mae-Ling seems to be interested in musicals lately. Can you nice folks recommend a few good shows kids can watch that I could get on dvd? So far she has seen the Cathy Rigby version of Peter Pan. We tried watching the movie version of Phantom of the Opera, but it was pretty bad.

So far I have "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" and "Music Man" on my list.

Wae-Ling is still very happy to watch Peter Pan while she is here.

Morning all!

They still haven't be able to get that poor man's body from the sink hole. They say the people on both sides of that house are moving all of their things out in case the hole starts getting even bigger.

What is really odd is that it is all inside the house. If you look at the pictures, you can't see anything wrong. They say that they don't know why the shell of the house is still standing. I thought living on the left coast would be kinda scary because you couldn't trust the ground not to move but the thought of being swallowed up while sleeping in your bed is totally terrifying!!!!!!1

I think the kids would love "Barnum" with Michael Crawford. It's on DVD and you can rent it from Netflix.

We are at 50 degrees right now. I have question. What temp do you all set your thermostat on when it's cold? I have mine on 68 but it still seems cold in the house. I put the little doggie blankets I found at walmart on the dogs last night. They seem to like them.
