Thanks, DR JRand!

As I predicted, she asked Uncle Richard to walk her down the aisle.

DR Danise, sad to hear the cat's demise was intentional.
It was.  You could tell it had been hit by a car.

That doesn't make it intentional.  I hit a cat once that ran right in front of my car.  Not stopping, unless they didn't notice, is another story.

I have a friend who discovered someone was "following" her on Facebook.  He shouldn't have been able to since they weren't friends.  I suggest, if you use FB, to turn off your "follow" option which she has now done.

So, in the second episode of "The Count of Monte Cristo," the count is impressing a young woman and has a servant bring in an enormous bowl of caviar. Needless to say, I got really hungry seeing that. Unfortunately, the caviar was in a silver bowl and served with a silver spoon. Obviously the maker of this doesn't know that you need glass and/or mother-of-pearl because metal affects the flavor negatively. The count might not have known that, but his kitchen staff should have. Sad.

I wish I could remember if this scene is in the book.

What is a follow option and how do you know if it is off? And how did she discover it?

I am pretty sure that nobody would try to hit a cat. So it was not intentional. But what would you even do if you did?  guess call the city. Unless they lived on your street they could not really take it anywhere.

The scene where the Count is trying to impress her is. I don't remember caviar being mentioned.

I guess it depends where you are.  I was on a busy street with little children in the car so I moved it to the side of the road.  I then called every vet in the area reporting the cat, with a description, and asking if they knew who it might belong to.  I then put an ad in the paper.  I never received a response.  Today I would have called the township shelter to see if they would collect the pet & check for a mircrochip.

Sunday afternoon greetings!  Fr. Richard and I are back from an uneventful trip to Lima and now I can tell you why I've been so quiet the past couple of days:

Yesterday our dear niece/goddaughter Lauren became engaged to a wonderful young man named Jimmy!

Her mom had called me on Friday to tell me he was planning to propose on Saturday and then they were going to dinner at Lebanon's Golden Lamb, where they went on their first date.  Jimmy wanted it to be a family thing, so his mom arranged for one of the private dining rooms and there were 9 of us there to greet them.  Mary Linda went with us, but Paramedic Rob was only halfway through his 24-hour workday.  It was a fun, festive evening.

Congrats to Lauren and Jimmy!

Thank you Dr Cillaliz for all of your help.  I think there were some pretty powerful posts there and some by people I don't even know!  I have a feeling I will be getting a phone call or two tomorrow.

I don't think I mentioned that I also send an email to the photographer who was interested in following my story from the local news.  He was the one who supplied the footage for the AC show.

That's very good news, Danise!
