Perhaps mine will. I've been assembling DEAREST ENEMY materials. New World is offering it as their October release, so i've been sending everything for the booklet to the producer to look over and tear apart. I also received the first edit of Act One from the producer, and i've downloaded it and burned it to CD. I'll listen tomorrow. I am a bit scared. The conductor did not behave very well last year and I hope I like or, if i don't, can live with what we've got.

Had a nice visit with Mr. James Marsden and business manager, and I do think within the next few weeks we'll get all the little things done to make the front of the house look great again, i.e. all the dry rot replaced, new fence doors, and stuff in the yard.  They're going to have our gardener do a lot of tree trimming and gutter and roof cleaning - but both were delighted at how I've kept the house's interior in absolutely pristine condition - in fact, he said it looked better than when he lived here.

Photos, please?

(KIdding.)

BK, maybe you could ask Mr. James Marsden if he'd be in one of your Kritzerland shows?  You two do have a connection...your costume designer for What If?, Amy Adams, was his co-star in "Enchanted."  Maybe you could invite them BOTH and have them perform together LIVE for the first time!

That would be cool. ;D

Marsden doesn't live in LA.  And he seems to just go from film to film these days.

Good evening.  In AZ the jury gets to submit questions to be asked of witnesses.  They just said that they have over 100 that the jury want to ask Jodi!  Both sides get them over night, but it will be interesting to see what they ask. This rule came into effect after I left AZ.  I've never been in a jurisdiction where jurors could do this

Perhaps the question they want Jodi to answer is "were you always this crazy a bitch?"

Yesterday one of the men from the pump/water place came out to look at the leak in our water room.  He said he would return at 7:30 this morning and replace the pipe which would take about 30 minutes.

At 8:00 he called to say he had locked his keys in the car.

He arrived around 8:30

Around 10:30 he left to get a part he needed, returning around 11:30

At 12:30 we left him finishing up and went to Costco.

When we returned from Costco Keith checked the work and found the original leak was fixed, however, there was a new one.

Fortunately one of the owners was in the area and came right out.  He immediately knew what the first guy had done wrong & was able to fix it.  He also checked on something else Keith had questions about.

The owner left around 4:30.

That was a long frustrating day waiting for the work to be done.

Keith says the first guy is extremely nice but there tend to be problems when he does the work.  The owner told Keith he has had too many problems with this guy.  It is a shame he isn't as competent as he is nice.

Yikes!!  You'd think the owner would either fire the guy or make sure that he really knew what the heck his employees were doing. :P

TOD

I seem to enjoy Fred Astaire's work from the lat 40's onwards. The crudeness of the way these were shot and edited and the sound recording are far too distracting for me to enjoy them.

FA
EASTER PARADE
ROYAL WEDDING
THE BAND WAGON
SILK STICKINGS
FUNNY FACE
A FAMILY UPSIDE (Which won him his only major acting honor Emmy)
FINNIAN'S RAINBOW

I sat here for about 5 minutes trying to figure out if I had ever seen FA.

My friend Jackie (former Miss USA and ex wife of Jack Webb) sent me this gorgeous photo she had taken  back in the late 50s. I just love it and so I wanted to share.

And for once, I post a photo that our BK will appreciate!  ;D

Well the snow started here about 90 minutes ago.....and the ground and streets are already covered.  It is expected to keep falling until 7 a.m. tomorrow morning.

Scary.
If you could just steer that  storm south  I would be most appreciative

And I am home.  I had a good time at Toyland and Curtis and we accomplished much.

On a wierder note, i think at the drug store the young clerk wearing the yarmulke was cruising me! I am not making this up.

Wasn't that a Mac davis song CHEAPER to KIPAH  (kipah = Hebrew work for yarmulke)

I thought yarmulke was the Hebrew word

Evening all!  Not much to say from my end, no sink holes in yard, no email or phone calls from either AL or AC.

I am happy with my job now.  The day just flys by.  I have a nice boss who you can talk and laugh with.  Great group of people to work with.  One lady (still learning names, sorry) had her one year cancer free day today.  They bought her a cake with the pink ribbon on it and we had cheese toast or muffins for breakfast.  I thought that was super nice!

Just one last worry-- my last performance eval from the B and I'll be 100% free of her.  I think I'm proving myself.  I get asked to help people with the MS programs like Excel and Word.  I'm turning out a fair chunk of work.  I was called "Miss Productivity" today because I had a stack of paperwork to take to Civil Service.  I only had 2 mistakes in the whole stack and the new boss told me "great job".

I've come up with several ideas on how to do things that we now do and I think am putting some good input since we are using them.

So if I get a bad review from the " " (I'll let you fill in the blank), I think my new boss will know that it was just her not me.

Best of all, I like going to work again.  There is nothing worse than waking up and just dreading going to someplace you do NOT want to be.  The hours just DRAG by.

Anyway, I know I'm gushing but I can't help it.

I'm hungry, going to go eat now.

I am so pleased to hear this Danise!!

LOL.  And if it's like the rest of the case.  they've asked it 100 times

I see BRAIN FROM PLANET X is licensed by R&H!

I wonder if there's a chance in hell I could interest a local high school music director friend in taking a look at it.  They do the traditional big book musical with full orchestra in the spring, but they're interested in mounting smaller scale one-week productions in the fall.  They started last year with ONCE ON THIS ISLAND.  Set change requirements would have to be pretty simple.  No idea if the subject matter would be attractive to them, but I'll sure make them aware of it.

It is one terrific little musical.  Great songs, amusing script.  I believe the original cast recording is available thru Kritzerland.

I have it!  Listened to some this evening.  I totally agree it's terrific, and DR Elmore's orchestrations are wonderful.

From the R&H "Brain" web page:

"SYNTHESIZER SOUNDS: Hammond Organ, Rock Organ, Harpsichord (Sharp and jangly/mixed with banjo), Electric or Rhodes Piano (interchangeable in terms of the score), Celesta (written at pitch), Harp, Chimes, Bells (sounds one octave higher than written), Vibes, Xylophone, Electric Guitar, Jazz Guitar, Arco Strings, Pizzicato Strings, Solo Cello, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Horn Brass Ensemble (Jazzy Brass), Orchestra Brass (Wagnerian), Choral Voices, Something Moog-y ("Switched on Bach" sound), Awful Sounds (a combination of vomiting, farting, hissing and other gross sounds)."

I wanna play that!

I have a Blu and Ray coming today - The Intouchables, which I'd like to watch - naturally it's coming via Ontrac and probably won't arrive until after four.

Last week, when I got home from Seattle, I had two packages waiting for me.  One was delivered by Fed Ex and one by UPS.  Oh and Ontrac left me a note that I had a package but it was Undeliverable.
