Hello, everyone.

My wi-fi is BACK!! I won't bore you all with the long and very annoying story, but will just say that I do NOT like TimeWarner. They advertise VERY heavily, but when it comes to customer service, well, you might think that we were all trying to cheat them. I have been looking for a viable alternative, but options are limited. In any case, I am now able to connect to the Internet in a normal fashion. Well, maybe I shouldn't call HHW "normal"--that would be an insult to BK. But I can connect. I am pleased, but also pretty ticked off.

My sympathies, Larry. I hope all these problems are behind you. Even though I prefer the Mac world to the PC world, there is much that Apple doesn't tell you, and I contend that computer users shouldn't be required to be system administrators. Yes, I guess I'm still ranting.

Rant away, DR Jeanne! I am completely sympathetic.

It took my Mac man several trips through all three LaCie hard drives to find my Netscape address book and transfer its files to Seamonkey, which is the latest version, I believe, of what was Netscape. The email files transferred fine, but it took forever to locate what application files were concealing the address book

My email, my address book all look quite familiar to me and I'm really happy to have it all back and etunning smoothly again.

Bruce, MetroStage is in my old 'hood. The French restaurant wouldn't be La Bergerie, would it? VERY nice, very expensive, very highly rated.

Mike, I am not ashamed to admit that I have NOT seen DEEP THROAT. I've seen a lot (and I mean A LOT!) of similar works, but not that specific one.

Maybe the 6th time will be the charm because he said that when he gives his word something will be done, it is. Add to that I was told that I will have GRANITE countertops. That is more than I could hope for.

I hate to say how excited I am because if it doesn't happen, I don't think I can take the let down again.

Larry, one of the advantages of Gmail is that your email resides on their servers, so even if all your data was lost, you could still access all your email. Although I use Gmail personally, I'm not a big fan of the way it does other things, such as being overly zealous with what it perceives to be spam.

Went with Lanny to the Capital Grille - this time I had a filet mignon Oscar - 8oz steak with crabmeat and a teeny-tiny bit of hollandaise - total calories, 590. I had a cup of clam chowder - 340 calories, and one roll, so I think I did pretty well. No jog, but we walked to Sandy's house so that's about two miles and we walked briskly. Lanny and I took a short walk after dinner, and at eight-thirty we're meeting in the gym - as it turns out they have one stationary bike machine so hopefully that will be free and I'll do thirty minutes on that and do about two or three miles, which should work off around 200 calories.

Is Sergio, who keeps his word, from a company or independent? Granite is very nice.
