We don't have a service on Saturday. Which gives me time to clean this cesspool.

I read that as "clean the cesspool."  I was horrifed thinking your church had a cesspool.
Just my house.

The Sunday is Easter Sunday so after church I'll be collecting my parents and heading over to my brother and SIL's for dinner

Where does your brother live?

Well I have been looking at the cover and the dripping blood is a little creepy to me - however  creepy is probably exactly what you are looking for -  and it is certainly eye catching

With all the mentioning of Maudy Thursday, you would think my brain would eventually register that today is not Friday.

Don't worry about that, vixmom, I can get it from you next week, or the week after.

I agree.   It felt like Friday all day but not in a "good' way

Vixmom, were you watching "Parade's End"? What do you think? I've started listening to the book, which is actually four novels. 38 hours long over 30 discs. I'm on disc 5 right now. But I am enjoying the writing.

Watching Game of Thrones on HBO

For the longest time, I had seen the series mentioned in magazines and newspaper, but I had not really paid much attention.  It wasn't until I heard it spoken at the Golden Globes, that I realized that it wasn't called GAME OF THORNS.

we did watch it - Vixdad seemed to enjoy it very much  but I was annoyed  by the lead and his commanding officer and stopped paying attention to it .

Maybe I will watch it again on On Demand - or maybe I should read the book - perhaps I will enjoy that better

It's the same guy who plays Sherlock. Benedict Cummerbund or Cumberthwait or Cucumberbatch or whatever it is.

I really enjoyed Season One - so much so that I bought all five of the published books for my Nook and ready them all non stop -  the series does not faithfully follow the books so far but they hit the right spots and I find them very enjoyable

Vixmom, I am glad you are a little more awake tonight.  I felt so sorry for you last night.  You must have been very rummy (without the rum).

See, I am so out of the loop, I didn't know that it was based on a series of books.

I didn't like the fact that my favorite character got killed off by the end of season one. Haven't looked for the show again.
